Lucian's POV
I dropped directly down onto my knees right at her feet. I wrapped my arms securely around her legs, burying my face against her thigh, and leaned down to kiss her skin. I kissed her just like I worshipped the absolute ground that she walked on.
Alina stood over me like a deity, her fingers sliding into my messy hair, gently threading through the strands. She exerted just enough pressure to bring my face up, forcing me to look directly at her.
My eyes were completely gooey, glazed over with a pathetic, desperate adoration as I stared up into her face. A dark, triumphant smirk played on her lips, and seeing it only made my heart beat faster, driving me completely crazy. The sheer, overwhelming intensity washing through my veins just by looking at her was something I never thought was humanly possible for an Alpha.
"Your eyes are getting teary, Lucian," she murmured, her voice dripping with sweet authority.
