As he absorbs the lifeforce of the rabbit in front of him, a cool feeling slowly spread all over his body and then a message popped up.
[You have plundered a 'Hopper']
...
You have acquired: Acceleration | AGL+ | STR+ | DEF+
...
Reading the message, Alexander felt a bit lighter and he also felt his that his fatness seemed to have formed some muscle inside.
For the defense he had no idea, but the skill acceleration is what caught him.
[Status:
Name: Alexander Versalius
Achievements: Traveller
Skills: PlundererAcceleration]
[Skill: Acceleration
Description: Can increased speed by 20%]
[Plunderer: 1/1000]
Looking at the numbers, he was surprised that this skill could actually level up. If it did, then doesn't that mean it's going to be much more OP?
Remembering the skill as he looked at its description, Alexander could not wait to try it. He took a running position and then decided to run in circles.
[Skill Acceleration Activated]
Then he felt that his slow speed began to increase by 20 percent. Earlier, he could run about 10 meters in 4 seconds, and now it was 2-3 seconds.
But when he stopped, he also understood something. He felt his stamina was draining much faster, so he could not really spam it unless he trained his stamina to a higher level.
"If this is some kind of video game, why didn't they at least show my attributes?" he wondered, since if he could inspect them, at least he could estimate how strong he was.
Then Alexander walked towards the plants, which smelled very refreshing. If the rabbit was protecting it, then maybe it was something good.
As he smelled it up close it was so intoxicating, touching the petals it was so smooth, but when his hand stayed there for like 3 seconds the same panel appeared.
[Do you want to plunder, 'Morning Glory?']
Seeing this Alexander was stunned, not thinking that this skill could also be used on plants. This description was so stupid for not even telling him this.
Since he did not find anything better to use the plant for other than smelling good, he plundered it.
Then the cool sensation came back, and he felt that aside from that, he seemed to have absorbed something.
Then he felt his body snap as a strange energy overflowed through him. It was so pure and clean that he felt very refreshed, but his calm peace was ruined by the system's prompt.
...
[You have acquired: Gentle Regeneration | VIT+ | Nature Affinity (Low)]
...
Seeing that he had many skills compared to that damn rabbit, Alexander was surprised that plants actually had better plunder ability compared to living beasts.
Or maybe it was because the Hopper, from what the message said was a lower-level beast. Then, as he absorbed it, he looked at the panel to inspect it.
[Passive Skill: Gentle Regeneration
Description: When injury is detected, the skill will automatically be activated]
Then he felt that the rabbit strikes earlier, slowly healed on its own lessening the pain which made him comfortable since the aching was still there.
[Affinity: Nature (low)
Description: Slightly boost skills, strength, and awareness in natural environments. Minor boost to recovery and movement while in forests or grassy areas]
Then his skill Gentle Regeneration, became much more powerful because of the boost, healing his injuries much faster.
In just a span of two minutes he was fully healed, except for his hand, which was still aching.
So he sat for a full five minutes, and now the bones were reattached and he could move again, leaving him in awe of this prowess.
After feeling energetic and filled with vigor, he checked himself again and noticed that there was something inside his abdomen.
"Huh, what is this inside of me?" he wondered as he tried to probe inside himself.
There he found a ring made out of blue energy. It was filled with power, and he was already struck with awe upon seeing it.
"Is this mana like in the novels?" Even though he is not an otaku, he had read a novel before, and since he was in a fantasy world, that idea might be real.
As he was in the process of thinking about this, he felt that something in his surroundings had moved.
Because of his affinity with nature, his awareness was pretty good, covering about 30 meters.
So what he did was run to the side swiftly, making sure he didn't make any noise. As soon as he was gone, another rabbit appeared and seeing that its brother had died.
It was about to pull it away when a blur of shadow rushed forward.
[Skill Acceleration Activated]
He speeds up closing the distance, then in his abdomen the mana ring spun giving more speed making him surprised that he could run this fast.
As the information appeared Alexander focused himself and for the rabbit, which was weaker than the first one he had killed, had a slow reaction.
Using the same rock that he had picked up before leaving, he hurled it toward the beast first.
Fling~
It hit the back of its head making it stagger. Catching the bouncing rock mid-air, he climbed on top of it, doing the same process and smashing its head with the same rock.
The rabbit screamed trying to kick him off or make him fall, but with his increased strength and the boost from his affinity, he completely overpowered the struggling beast.
Smashing its face, the Hopper finally let out its last breath and died. Seeing that it had stopped moving, Alexander was excited as he touched its head with his hand.
[You have plundered a 'Hopper']

You have acquired: Acceleration | AGL+
...
Seeing the acquired attributes and skills, he narrowed his eyes wondering why it was so small compared to the first.
Then he felt that his understanding of the skill Acceleration seemed to have increased, which surprised him.
"I thought that after having the skill Acceleration, it would be of no use plundering these rabbits, but it can actually increase my understanding? That's crazy," he said, extremely surprised by this.
As for agility, he did not feel any change at all. Standing up, he decided to hunt more, and as he took a step forward with a smile, he felt his upper body become very light.
Then he felt his worldview seemed to have turned
"What the..." he stopped speaking as he fell to the ground and saw that his lower body was still standing, blood spurting out.
"DE...AD?" he blurted out then he felt his vision blur.
Then back inside his room, as if struck by something, he woke up with red eyes that made him writhe in pain.
It was so agonizing and painful that it felt like he was dying.
"DAMMMMMM!" he cursed inwardly, and some low cries of pain escaped his mouth, but he did not shout.
Since it was so late at night, his teeth were clenched tight, showing veins on his face, and his hands clutched the bedsheets as he struggled to hold it in.
Then after a whole two minutes of torture, it was finally gone, making his heavy breathing return to normal.
"That freaking hurt," he said with red eyes as he sat up.
He really felt like he was cut into two, which made him shed tears since it was the worst pain he had ever experienced.
"Who the heck killed me in that stupid dream?" he wondered as he put a hand on his face.
Then he felt something inside of him that made him change his mind.
