"Because you do not know what kind of life and death situation you have put yourself into, I am going to explain why in simple terms so your dumb brain can understand,"
"When you cultivated yesterday and felt the overwhelming energy seeping into you, why did you not stop it? Why did you let it flow and form inside you?" He questioned.
Alexander remembered the scene when he plundered that plant and felt something inside him giving him strength.
Of course he let it happen. The skill Plunderer did it automatically, and he had no way to stop it.
"Because it seemed to give me strength, isn't that the case?" he answered.
Then without any warning, Ragnar smacked his head with his iron fist, his face was full of anger.
"I know you are trash, but why are you this dumb? Did you forget the lesson that was taught to you when you were young? It is literally the basics of how to become an Awakener. Even a young child about five years old knows this," his face was filled with grievance.
"Just how stupid can you be?!" he roared, making Alexander ears numb.
Alexandria seeing her son being hurt right in front of her. She retorted back, "Can't you see that he is suffering enough? Why are you still hurting him?"
"Well he is going to die anyway. A little bit of pain wouldn't make any difference," Ragnar answered.
Hearing the word 'die', Alexandria began to shed even more tears. She hugged Alexander tightly on the bed like he was already dead.
This made Alexander speechless as he glanced at his mother, then looked back at his father motioning him to continue.
"To give you an idea, a mana ring is not something a fool should be happy about. Every ring forces raw mana to spin faster and faster inside your body, and the pressure keeps building without rest."
"Did you feel it spin inside of you and give you a boost in your combat ability?" he asked.
Alexander nodded in reply, because back in his dream when he took down that second Hopper, it seemed to spin and send mana all over his body, making him much faster and stronger.
"You did notice it then there is no turning back the moment it spins then it will not stop," he said while shaking his head since this is what he had seen when he probed him with his mana.
Alexander heard this and quickly checked his mana rings. Yep, it seemed to be spinning normally without rest, but it seemed fine though.
"It gives more power than normal awakeners because the ring compresses mana into a far denser form. But that same density is what kills people and one mistake can make the whole thing lose balance and burst from the inside."
He then pointed at Alexander's abdomen.
"A normal awakener gathers mana little by little, purifies it with a technique, and guides it through safe paths. But your ring was formed by force without control, so the mana inside it is like a sealed storm that keeps grinding against your flesh, veins, and organs every second."
Ragnar's face darkened as he finished, "Throughout history, the highest recorded person to survive that path lasted only thirty-two days after forming three rings, and when his body could not endure anymore, the rings collapsed, the mana went wild, and he exploded from the inside with not even a corpse left behind."
"So now do you know how dangerous your situation it is?" he said looking at him.
Alexander began to panic, thinking that it must be really bad.
In his thoughts, he quickly tried to communicate with the mysterious panel.
"Umm, system, god, or whatever you are, am I really in danger? Can you give me a sign?" he prayed, wanting to know if what his father said was true.
[Level: First Mana Awakening
Note: The Mana Ring formed through Plunderer is under perfect control. The skill 'Plunderer' acts as a guide, keeping the mana stable and preventing any backlash or collapse.
Condition: Stable
...
Hearing the confirmation from his own cheat, who would he choose to believe? His father or this panel?
Of course he would believe the mysterious panel.
Looking at his condition and seeing that it was really stable, the fear that had slowly crept into his heart disappeared.
This was because his skill Plunderer was actually behind all of this.
Seeing that his son did not care at all, Ragnar wondered if he was really this stupid. But since it had already happened, there was only one thing left to do.
"Go to your room and rest for now. Don't do anything that can trigger the ring, or else you will die much earlier," he instructed.
When he saw that Alexander was still calm.
"I am not kidding young man," Ragnar said warning him again.
"Other than that from the looks of it, you almost killed yourself from overexercising. Well technically, you already killed yourself, so nothing is going to change anyway," he said with a shake of his head.
Ragnar then glanced towards Johnny and understanding what he meant, Johnny nodded and took out a vial from the drawer.
Then giving it from Alexander to drink. With a gulp, Alexander felt that the pain and tiredness inside him vanished.
This made him surprised that such a thing actually existed.
Well, the only reason he was able to train for very long hours continuously was because of his passive skill, Gentle Regeneration.
Even though he was in pain it was healing quickly, so the whole process was very harsh.
The only time he could rest was when his stamina was exhausted. If his Gentle Regeneration could also help in recovering stamina, it would be amazing.
"Go ahead and go back to your room."
Alexander nodded wanting to get out here as soon as possible.
Alexandria did not follow her son but looked at her husband, "What now Ragnar? I don't want our first son to die," she said hugging him while shedding a tear.
Sebastian and Johnny glanced at each other and proceeded to leave.
Left alone in the room, Ragnar's cold look was replaced with a look of concern, with a deep sigh he responded.
"Even though I hated him, but it doesn't mean his death. I think we are going to need grandfather's help if we wanted him to survive," he said not liking the idea of involving the old man.
If the old man heard this news, he would be ecstatic. This was because that old man hated his son for bringing shame to the family.
But Alexander was still his grandson after all, so maybe there was still some love left in his heart.
He tried to think positively because after all, his grandfather was really the only one left he could trust.
On the whole continent, his father was the person he believed in and looked up to the most. Hearing that the old man was going to get involved, Alexandria was against this idea.
Because in the past, when the old man visited this place and saw Alexander becoming a disappointment, he beat him so badly that Alexander had to stay in bed for three days.
Even though she tried to stop him, she couldn't do anything. The moment she did, she passed out and the old man had already left.
"Hayss, is there really nothing left?" she said with a look of worry.
Ragnar can only shake his head, since the information about the mana ring was considered impossible to fix even throughout history.
"We can only put some of our trust in father for this. If he doesn't help, then I'll look for other ways," Ragnar said.
Slowly, his eyes turned resolute and cold as Alexandria could only hum softly and hug him.
When Alexander reached his room, he spotted the same maid walking back and forth outside the door with a hint of worry on her face.
Seeing him, the worry in her eyes eased as she rushed forward then took his arm and asked, "Young master, are you okay?"
That look of tenderness seemed to give him energy, and it even made him even more fond of this maid.
"Zemina, I am fine," he said while patting her hair.
Feeling his touch, she could not help but blush. For Alexander, finding what he was doing is so weird he retracted his hand with a cough.
"Zemina, Johnny said I should rest for now and no one is allowed to disturb me. So later, just leave the food outside the door okay?" he instructed.
"Okay young master," she replied with a weird look.
