It was a golden morning.
Mara slowly opened his eyes.
For a few moments, he stared at the ceiling, as if returning from a distant thought.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"This morning… feels like the beginning of a new life,"
he murmured softly.
There was a strange excitement within him —
as if something had already changed,
or was about to.
He rose from his bed and walked toward the window.
Sunlight fell across his face.
"Maybe I should step outside for a while… play a little,"
he thought quietly.
But he did not yet realize—
this morning was not just the start of a day,
it was the first step toward his destiny.
Mara looked out the window and whispered, "My destination is close… I can feel it." There was an unusual certainty in his voice. Suddenly, a loud knock echoed at the door. "Open up, Mara! I have good news!" an elderly voice called from outside. Mara rushed to the door, and as soon as he opened it, an old man collapsed into his arms. "Grandfather! What happened?" he shouted in panic. Within moments, everything blurred.
The next scene unfolded in a hospital room. Mara sat beside his grandfather, holding his hand tightly. Suddenly, his grandfather's eyes opened. In a weak voice he said, "Mara… I found out… who killed your father. He is no ordinary man… he is a mastermind… known as Makhulu…" His words faded, his grip loosened, and silence filled the room. Mara sat frozen — there were no tears in his eyes, only a burning resolve.
Mara sat silently in a corner of his house. His eyes were dry, but a storm raged inside him. He murmured to himself,
"What is happening to me? Whatever I wish for never happens… and whatever I have is taken away from me. Am I really this helpless? All of this happened because of Makhulu… I have to take revenge. But what did Grandfather ever do to him? I need to know the truth… but how is this even possible?"
A soft voice came from behind him. It was Pasito. Stepping closer, he whispered,
"I heard… Makhulu doesn't even exist in this world. They say he was once a lion… brother, you don't understand… he doesn't live in a human body. Even his spirit couldn't survive. Makhulu cannot be real…"
At that moment, Vaden spoke up,
"Yeah… and we're only ten years old. What can we even do? The doctors and others say your grandfather was crazy…"
Mara instantly lifted his head, fire burning in his eyes.
"No! My grandfather was not crazy."
Vaden hesitated, then said,
"Wait… I know someone called Makhulu. Do you know Ajina? His pet name was 'Makhulu'… could it be him?"
Pasito looked shocked.
"Ajina? Do you even know who he is? He's the King of MFG… a powerful politician. Stopping him would be impossible…"
Silence filled the room.
Mara clenched his fists.
This was no longer just about revenge—
it was about a war between truth and the impossible. Mara slowly stood up.
His fists were clenched, fire burning in his eyes.
In a firm voice, he said—
"I will defeat him…
He has to fall.
No matter how powerful he is,
no matter if the whole world stands with him…
I will bring him down."
There was no rage in his voice—
only unshakable resolve.
And for the first time,
fear was replaced by determination.
