The staff were taking their precious time to get diapers and food for Liam. In the meantime, I used one of Bruno's shirts as a diaper.
I had my bath afterward, changing into his polo and pants, which swallowed me whole. When he went to take his own bath and change, I headed to the kitchen to get the food myself.
I rounded the corner into the kitchen, my damp hair clinging to the back of the oversized polo. A woman in a brown uniform was already there, balancing a tray of steaming bowls and a small bottle of warmed milk.
She froze when she saw me, her eyes widening slightly as they swept over my swallowed-up frame in Bruno's clothes. Then she offered a warm, professional smile.
"I was just about to bring this up to the room," she said, her lips moving in clear, exaggerated shapes that made it easy for me to follow. She stepped closer, her gaze shifting to the doorway where I'd left the stroller. "And I have to say, the little one is absolutely precious."
