Chapter 117 - The Owl's Gift

Before Santiago could finish off Kael, Alex came at lightning speed, his entire body a blur.

Within a millisecond, Alex slashed off Santiago's hand before it could reach Kael, causing him to scream and take a few step backwards, clenching his heavily bleeding part. "Pathetic," Alex said, looking at Kael as if he were a bug. "I told you to take care of Santiago but you weren't even able to do that."

"Now, stand up," Alex said, his eyes directly staring at Santiago. "Surely, you could at least help me. But...if you can't, then I'll do it myself."

Kael's eyes widened at Alex's words and he forced himself to stand up, gritting his teeth while doing it. "You bastard," Kael said, glancing at Alex. "You gave me the harder job. Anyone could kill a few thousand ants."

As soon as he said, Alex coughed up blood and Kael noticed all of the cuts on Alex's body, most of his clothes covered in his own blood. "You..." Kael said, slightly shocked. "What the...hell? Are you really that weak?"

"Weak? I fought against ten thousand people...no, even more. And all of them had guns and abilities," Alex replied. "You can't even beat one."

"Tch. I was just about to beat him but you interfered," Kael said, his face slightly frustrated.

Alex was about to say something but just then, Santiago started to laugh but then suddenly went dead serious. And then, his face turned all red and he punched a wall out of anger but then, he went back to being dead serious again. "Ya' both...Alex Lewisguard and his lackey...good. Very good. Come! Come at me, both of ya'...at once! WOO!"

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!" Santiago screamed, doing a firing gesture each time he said, "boom."

"He's just as the rumors say," Alex said in a professional tone. "Unpredictable."

"See? This was what I was dealin' with," Kael said. "You may have gotten quite injured but that wasn't cause' they were strong. It was because you were frickin' weak."

"I never said he was strong. Just unpredictable," Alex replied. "I have fought people much stronger than him."

"Can ya' both stop yer blabbering? Don't be such a pussy now," Santiago said, punching the air and screaming in the very next second. "FIGHT ME! COME! COME YOU FUCKIN' BASTARDS!"

Alex smirked and sprinted towards him, which caused Santiago to grab a few boxes that weren't burned and threw it towards Alex at an extreme speed, though, Alex managed to dodge. However, that was just a distraction as Santiago was just behind one of the boxes, punching Alex when he dodged the box, launching him onto the wall of the warehouse.

"Interesting. He used the boxes to block my view so that I wouldn't be able to see his punch coming," Alex thought, calmly standing up. "Despite how he behaves, he's unusually smart."

"That all you got, huh? Actin' all that when you're just a fuckin' bug! A bug dat needs to be stepped on!" Santiago screamed, energy flowing through his veins. In fact, too much of it.

Alex narrowed his eyes and rushed towards Santiago so fast that his body became a blur that went through Santiago's body and came out the other side. Santiago had tried to block the upcoming attack but before he knew it, Alex appeared behind him, causing a large deep slash to almost split his body in half.

"Now, now, don't try to get too ahead of yourself," Alex said, sheathing his sword. "Fighting a mere main leader is considered a warm-up for me. Because I, Alex, have defeated Raven, the same person who ruled over the entire rotting peninsula twenty years ago."

Santiago started to laugh but in the middle of it, coughed up blood, which caused him to stop laughing. Instead, his face had a smirk. "Is dat so...?" Santiago said in a slightly low voice, which got higher with his next words. "WELL, I'M FUCKIN' STRONGER THAN HIM!" He screamed, turning around to hit Alex.

But before his punch could reach him, Kael punched him right in the face so hard that he was launched several meters and onto the wall of the warehouse, the impact almost breaking it. But surprisingly, Santiago simply laughed extremely hard.

And then...he snapped his finger.

Which caused hundreds of drug dealers to appear out of nowhere...with Rose tied up, tears flowing through her cheeks, causing Kael to freeze immediately and Alex to furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "The daughter of...that CEO? What the hell is she doing here?" Alex wondered, glancing at Kael.

"Did ya' both really think dat I wouldn't notice ya dogs comin' in Elephant City?" Santiago said with a wide grin, slowly standing up and very, very slowly walking towards Rose. "Dat mischievous owl, braco or whatever da name was, had prepared a gift for me. You'll need it, he said."

"I'll give him a few bitches and snacks after this," Santiago said, referring to women. "Maybe I'll add you too," Santiago said, slightly brushing Rose's cheek. "Good product."

"Though, I don't think he'll like them dat much. But who da hell cares what he thinks? I'm da fuckin' king! I am da one who runs Elephant City, without me, it's nothin'!" Santiago said, beating his chest, causing every drug dealer and crack head to cheer like crazy.
