Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 - After the Sun

Wind moved slowly across the massive crater.

Golden dust settled gently over shattered ground.

Ernos lay motionless at the center.

The black sun core in his chest had completely extinguished.

No heat.

No pulse.

Nothing.

Sebastian approached carefully.

He waited a few seconds.

Then quietly said,

"It's over."

Lina Charlotte exhaled deeply.

Lance Poll powered down his weapons.

Wang Wei still stood at the center.

His coat burned and torn.

Blood traced down his face.

He looked up at the sky.

The clouds were parting.

For the first time in days, natural sunlight broke through.

Wang gave a faint smile.

"We… won."

Then his vision blurred.

His body leaned forward—

And he collapsed.

Sebastian caught him instantly.

"Wang!"

His pulse was weak.

But steady.

"Get him to the hospital!"

Three Days Later

The hospital room was quiet.

Monitors beeped rhythmically.

Wang slowly opened his eyes.

White ceiling.

Sterile air.

Sebastian and Asher stood beside his bed.

Sebastian leaned forward immediately.

"Finally."

Wang's voice was dry.

"So I didn't die."

Asher smirked.

"Unfortunately. We were preparing a speech."

Wang gave a weak chuckle, then turned serious.

"Ernos?"

Sebastian nodded.

"Energy completely gone. No trace left. He's finished."

Silence settled for a moment.

Wang looked toward the window.

"I felt the 'Sun Rise.'"

Asher raised an eyebrow.

"What about it?"

Wang inhaled slowly.

"It wasn't darkness. It was pure energy. At the end… it felt like he chose to burn everything away."

Sebastian crossed his arms.

"Maybe that was the last bit of humanity left in him."

Wang closed his eyes briefly.

"The war… is it over?"

Asher answered quietly.

"This phase is."

Sebastian added,

"You've been unconscious for three days. Doctor said if you hadn't woken up today…"

Wang gave a faint smile.

"I'm not finished yet."

Asher shook his head.

"You're resting."

Sebastian smirked.

"And no gravity powers inside the hospital."

For the first time—

The room felt light.

Normal.

After a while, Sebastian and Asher stepped outside.

Sebastian and Ella

Sebastian entered another hospital room.

Ella sat on the bed, calm but glowing with anticipation.

She smiled when she saw him.

"Is it over?"

He nodded.

"It's over."

Ella placed her hand gently on her stomach.

"The doctor said… it won't be long now."

Sebastian froze.

"Really?"

She nodded.

He slowly knelt beside her, holding her hand.

"I'm… going to be a father."

His voice trembled slightly.

Ella laughed softly.

"Yes. And I hope you learn how to change diapers before saving the world again."

Sebastian laughed too.

"I've fought cosmic threats. I can handle diapers."

But his eyes were wet.

This time—

Not from fear.

From joy.

Asher and Julia

Asher found Julia standing near a window, looking out at the recovering city.

"It's over?" she asked.

"It's over."

She turned to him.

"You almost didn't come back."

Asher shrugged slightly.

"But I did."

She stepped closer and took his hand.

"I don't want to lose you."

He smiled gently.

"I don't want to lose you either."

They stood in silence for a moment.

This silence wasn't heavy.

It was warm.

Julia rested her head against his shoulder.

"Can we have a normal life now?"

Asher half-smiled.

"At least for a week."

She laughed softly.

Vale

Later that night—

Asher entered another quiet hospital room.

Vale still lay unconscious.

Machines hummed steadily.

Asher walked closer.

He took Vale's hand.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then quietly—

"I promise you, brother."

"You're going to wake up."

"We're not done yet."

He squeezed Vale's hand gently.

"This time… I'll wait for you."

The camera slowly pulls back.

The city begins rebuilding.

The heroes are exhausted—

But alive.

The sun rises again.

Peaceful.

For now.
