[This Chinese World only last like 5 chapters so don't worry]
In the time it took to blink, Genichi arrived in another world.
Before he could even adjust to his surroundings, the glare of the surgical shadowless lamp forced his eyes to narrow slightly.
The sharp smell of disinfectant filled the air, mixed with the scent of blood.
This was an operating room.
Beside him, several doctors in blue surgical gowns were staring at him in terror.
Their expressions looked as if they had seen a ghost. In fact, from their perspective, Genichi really should have been a ghost.
Because not long ago, they had personally taken two kidneys from this body.
Genichi swept his gaze around the room. After receiving the memories of the female-oriented romance Genichi, he naturally recognized these people.
The chief surgeon, the sanctimonious middle-aged man wearing gold-rimmed glasses. He was the one who had personally cut open that Genichi's skin, sliced through his muscles, and removed his kidneys.
The anesthesiologist, that overweight woman. She was the one who had injected that Genichi with an excessive dose of anesthetic, making him lose everything while unconscious.
The nurses, those two young women. They were the ones who had handed over the scalpels, wiped away the blood, and coldly watched the entire process.
These people were the black-hearted medical staff who had taken dirty money and forcibly removed both of that Genichi's kidneys without his consent.
Genichi's gaze turned icy.
However his kidneys had been taken, Genichi would take them back the same way.
"You… are you human or a ghost?"
The chief surgeon looked at Genichi, his voice trembling so badly he could barely form a sentence.
His face was as pale as paper. Cold sweat poured down his forehead, and his legs would not stop shaking.
Just now, they had been preparing to deal with the "corpse," only for that "corpse" to suddenly open its eyes and sit upright.
If that was not a ghost, then what was?
Genichi ignored him.
He stood up and walked toward the tray holding the surgical knives.
The sharp scalpels gleamed coldly beneath the shadowless lamp.
Genichi picked one up, twirled it once in his hand, and tested its feel.
When the chief surgeon saw what he was doing, he stumbled back in terror, only to find his retreat blocked by the operating table behind him.
"What… what are you going to do?"
His voice rose so sharply it nearly cracked.
Genichi did not answer.
He merely snapped his fingers.
"Shadow King."
The moment his voice fell, the shadow beneath his feet began to writhe.
It twisted and swelled like a living thing, and several pitch-black figures stretched out from within it.
Those shadows had no faces, only blurred human outlines, and their bodies radiated a strange and dangerous aura.
"M-monsters!"
When the medical staff saw those shadows, they screamed in terror.
The anesthesiologist turned and tried to run, only for one shadow to silently block her path.
She shrieked and tried to go around it, but the shadow's arm instantly stretched out, grabbed her by the throat, and lifted her into the air.
The two nurses tried to run as well, but they were also subdued by the shadows and pinned to the cold floor, unable to move.
As for the chief surgeon, two shadows simply grabbed him and dragged him in front of Genichi.
"No! Don't!"
The chief surgeon struggled wildly, but the shadows were terrifyingly strong. He could not break free at all.
"You can't do this! This is illegal!"
When Genichi heard that, he could not help laughing softly.
The sound was quiet, but filled with mockery.
"Now you want to talk to me about the law?"
He bent down, looked at the chief surgeon's terrified face, and spoke word by word.
"When you were harvesting someone else's kidneys, why didn't you think about whether that was illegal?"
The chief surgeon was speechless.
What could he say?
That he had only done what his employer asked?
That he had only taken money to do a job?
That none of this had anything to do with him?
In the current situation, saying any of those things would only make him look even more ridiculous.
Genichi did not waste any more words on him.
He waved his hand, and the shadows immediately dragged the chief surgeon onto the operating table.
"No! Please! Let me go!"
The chief surgeon struggled desperately and begged at the top of his lungs. "I was only doing what the employer asked! They were the ones who told me to do it! I didn't want to!"
Genichi ignored his pleading.
He lifted the chief surgeon's clothes, exposing the pale flesh at his side.
Then he took the scalpel and, without even using anesthetic, cut directly into the man's skin.
"Ahhh!"
The chief surgeon let out a shrill scream.
The sound echoed through the operating room, piercing and desperate.
The sharp blade cut through skin and muscle. Blood instantly surged out, staining the operating table red.
The chief surgeon's body convulsed violently, but his limbs were pinned firmly by the shadows. He could not move at all.
All he could do was watch the knife move inside his own body and feel that bone-deep agony.
"Please… let me go… I'll do anything…"
His voice had become so hoarse it was almost inaudible. Tears and snot mixed together, leaving him utterly wretched.
Genichi did not stop.
With a light flick of the blade, he drew out a kidney slick with blood and let it fall onto the surgical tray with a dull sound.
"Ahhh!"
The chief surgeon screamed again, then passed out.
Genichi glanced at the kidney, and a cold smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"That's only one."
He waved his hand, and the shadows immediately woke the chief surgeon up again.
"No… no… just kill me… please, kill me…"
The chief surgeon had completely broken down.
Only hopeless pleading remained in his voice. His eyes were filled with terror and pain.
But Genichi ignored him.
He cut open the other side and removed the second kidney.
Two kidneys.
Not one missing.
Exactly the same as what that Genichi had lost.
The chief surgeon's screams gradually weakened until they finally stopped altogether.
His body lay limp on the operating table, and blood covered the entire surface.
Genichi set down the scalpel and looked at the remaining three people.
The anesthesiologist and the two nurses were so terrified their souls seemed to have left their bodies. When Genichi's gaze swept over them, they kowtowed frantically and begged for mercy.
"Please! Spare us! We were only employees!"
"The doctor told us to do it! We didn't know anything!"
"We have families! We have children! Please spare us!"
Their voices rose one after another, filled with fear and pleading.
Genichi looked at them quietly, without the slightest ripple in his eyes.
Of course he remembered.
In the memories of the female-oriented romance Genichi, it had been these two nurses who had coldly passed over the scalpels, wiped away the blood, and watched the entire process without moving a finger.
It had been that anesthesiologist who injected him with an excessive dose, taking away even his chance to struggle.
They were not the masterminds.
But they were accomplices.
"Shadow King."
Genichi spoke softly.
The shadows immediately understood what he meant.
They stepped forward and dragged the anesthesiologist and the two nurses to the operating tables.
"No!"
Screams rang out again, but they were soon replaced by cries of agony.
Genichi did not do it himself.
He merely stood to the side and watched in silence.
He watched as the shadows used the same method to take two kidneys from each of them.
Not one less.
Not one more.
Screams rose and fell. Blood flowed. The entire operating room turned into a living hell.
After an unknown length of time, the screams finally stopped.
Four corpses lay strewn across the operating tables.
Each person had two hideous wounds at their waist.
Each person's kidneys had been taken out and piled on the surgical tray, giving off the thick smell of blood.
Genichi swept his gaze around the room. After confirming that every last one of them was dead, he nodded in satisfaction.
He closed his eyes, feeling the long-suppressed emotion in his heart finally gain some release.
That sense of relief was difficult to describe.
It was like finally letting out a breath that had been trapped in his chest for a very long time.
Like a massive stone pressing on his heart had finally been lifted away.
Heaven knew just how disgusted Genichi had felt after receiving those memories from the female-oriented romance Genichi.
He could not accept something like that happening to "himself."
