Keifer's Pov
I was sitting on the couch and still blushing like an idiot, I laid on the couch hugging the pillow closer to me as is it was Jay, I was literally so happy because of the kiss, even though it was an accidental one, I was punching in the air and making muffed noises because I did not want her hear and the best reaction was her how she still blushed, I remembered her face, it was like the first time when I hugged after winning the competition.
After sometime, I started working since I did not bring my laptop I was working on my phone, many hours went by and I streched my body and looked at the time it was 5:45 A.M, So I laid on the couch again and tried to sleep, because if I didn't it could be seen on my face, I tried to sleep but instead I started to think what breakfast should I make for us, us it felt nice saying us, I wondered if this how things would if we were to together, cooking together, leaving to office together and many more activities together, that thought made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I liked the possibility of us, Sad because it reminded me the reality of us, that is there is no us now, but I was determined to not give up on us, not when I was given a second chance.
I don't know when I think after an hour I fell asleep.
Jay's Pov
I did not understand what happened for a minute and how I ended up kissing him, I know it was accidental and it was neither of our fault, but still it happened, and it made me flustered and made me feel like the same girl that I was in university, is it a bad decision to let him stay, but I only did it because I had no choice.
No, no I shouldn't be carried away by these things, I cannot get hurt again and him being the reason again, I composed myself and went and gave him the duvet and pillow, because I did not want to argue more about who is going to sleep where.
I did not lock the door, I left it a little open in case he needed something. I lied on my bed and the kiss replayed and I shook my head as if it is going to remove that thought and after a while turning and rolling in bed I slept.
In the middle of night. I woke up to drink water, I titled my head to see what he was doing, he was sitting like he was working on something, is it morning already. I checked time it was only 3:24 A.M, hasn't he slept at all? I thought of asking him about but then I decided against it because I did not know where it is going to end up.
Then I woke up in the morning at 8 and got freshened up and went out, for a minute I jerked seeing him in the couch, because the thought slipped my mind that he stayed here last night. I looked at his sleeping face it was different from before, his eyebrows were scrunched together as if he was fighting something. he wasn't having a peaceful sleep maybe because he his squished into the couch, I don't know what happened my hands slowly moved towards his head and caressed his hair and his scrunched eyebrows relaxed and it brought a smile to face and I realized what I was doing, I quickly removed my hand and went to kitchen.
I started cooking breakfast for us, I glanced at him while, I wanted to wake him up, but thought to do it after a little while. I almost finished cooking, So I went to wake him up,
Jay: "Mr Watson, Mr Watson" he woke up and I couldn't quiet read his expression, so I continued.
Jay: "You can freshen up, it's almost time and there is extra set of toiletries in the washroom, The breakfast is almost ready"
I said and,
Keifer: "You already made the breakfast?"
I nodded, He continued
Keifer: "I thought I could make you something, you know as a Thank you"
Jay: "Its fine you already made dinner yesterday"
he nodded and moved from there and went to freshen up and came back while I set the table, he also helped me setting the table even though I denied.
I then handed him over his shirt, that was on dryer yesterday, He took it from me and said thanks.
He got ready, while I went in too and got ready,
Keifer: "Shall we leave?"
I looked at him before answering,
Jay: "I'll will come in the company car"
I saw his face fell, but I have to do this I cannot get close to him again and get hurt.
Keifer: "But we are going to the same place"
Jay: "Yeah but the car service also will be here , So it's fine, Thanks anyways"
I said in a firm tone because I cannot afford to break again.
He nodded and said, "Thanks for everything" he said in a soft lower tone and went outside my apartment and so did I locked the door and came out.
