"The master is really too cruel, making me drink animal blood…"
Viktor was muttering as he was making his way through the forest. He didn't want to but if he didn't drink anything soon he would lose control…then the master might actually starve him.
Just then he heard something, it was a low rustling sound, Viktor turned his head and disappeared.
As he made his way through the forest he smelled a musky earth scent, mixed with piss in the air.
Animals. Viktor furrowed his brow in displeasure.
Just then as he leaped up in a tree and looked down below, a deer entered his sight.
He felt his throat rolling. He was thirsty… but then the smell hit him, wet fur, earth, and piss.
He felt his appetite dampen.
Let's do it!
He leaped from the branch he was perched on, the sound of air brushing against his body sounded as he appeared above the deer.
The deer raised its head and looked around as if it could sense its impending doom.
But it found nothing, and seconds later Viktor grabbed its neck and sunk his teeth in its neck.
His throat rolled as he swallowed the blood with haste. He wanted to taste as little as possible.
He removed his face from the neck of the deer and threw it away.
"Shit! It tasted worse than expected."
Viktor moved his tongue around in his mouth as he felt the taste. Nothing like humans… and not only the taste was different, but he felt less full, not quite satiated.
He stretched.
"At least I don't have to worry about losing control."
Viktor disposed of the deer's corpse, he didn't wanna leave evidence of this embarrassing situation.
As he made his way back he felt two cold auras approaching rapidly.

"Are you sure you felt that aura again?" Ella asked Jasper as they sped through the forest.
They had just been out feeding when Jasper felt that vampire's aura again. Remembering Carlisle's words they wanted to make contact.
"Yeah, and it seems we snuck up on him unintentionally."
Jasper had a serious expression on his face. He didn't know why… but he felt uneasy with this aura, he felt danger.
…
"I messed up!" Viktor was cursing himself, how didn't he notice?
Now he couldn't run, he would lead them right back to the master, then the master might just kill him.
He could imagine Silas face as he choked him by raising his hand then walking up and ripping his head off.
No! I need to do something… should I fight? I could probably shake them off.
Just then he heard rustling sounds in front. Viktor leaped up in a tree and hid on a branch behind.
Just then Jasper and Ella appeared in the clearing.
"Are you sure this was the place where you felt his aura?"
Jasper nodded.
"He's still here."
Ella was surprised and got in a defensive position.
"Where are you? Come out. We mean no harm." Jasper said.
Viktor frowned. This one again.
"We just wanna talk."
Viktor pondered.
"No. Leave. Or I will make you." He said. If he could make them leave, that would be the best.
Jasper shook his head.
"We need to talk to you about your purpose in circling our territory."
Viktor was displeased.
"So be it." He flashed forward and lunged at Jasper.
Jasper was surprised but dodged, but he miscalculated, Viktor wasn't after him, he was after Ella.
He reached out his hand and grabbed her arm, he yanked hard and Ella lost her balance.
Viktor then raised his leg and delivered a kick to her stomach, but Ella wasn't a push over, she twisted in his grasp resulting in Viktors kick only gracing her stomach.
Viktor let go of her arm and she took a few steps back holding her stomach.
Jasper flashed forward, it had all happened so fast that he hadn't had time to react. He looked up at Viktor and frowned. This was the first clear look he had gotten at him.
He looked to be in his late twenties, dirt blonde hair, and the most distinctive feature except his red eyes, was the scar running from his hair line on the left side of his face to his left eyebrow.
"What do you want?" Jasper asked, his previous patience had disappeared, this man had just attacked his mate.
"I wanted you to leave me alone."
Jasper looked increasingly displeased.
But before he could ask another question, Viktor attacked again.
His speed even faster than before. Jasper was ready this time, and met him.
Viktor threw a punch and Jasper dodged by twisting his body, as he thought he could deliver a counter attack, Viktor's knee flew up, the punch had just been a feint.
The knee landed squarely on his chin sending him flying back, he made a somersault in the air and landed on his feet.
He raised his hand and rubbed his chin. This man wasn't ordinary.
Viktor sneered, and turned to Ella, he pounced forward and delivered a kick to her leg. Ella was prepared and raised her leg and was about to step back, but just then Viktor who was mid kick changed his position and twisted in the air.
His other leg that had been on the ground flew up with incredible speed towards her face.
Viktor showed no mercy because she was a woman… although his plan wasn't to kill them, just scare them away.
The kick made contact, but just as the kick made contact Jasper appeared beside him and Viktor, still being in the air, couldn't dodge.
The fist was just about to land on his chest, when he moved his hand at an incredible speed and grabbed Jasper's wrist, it wasn't enough to stop the punch, but it did lighten the impact.
He flew violently through the air, but soon the violence turned to elegance, and he landed with his feet on the ground, like the person receiving the punch wasn't him.
Ella on the other hand didn't have that skill, as his foot made contact with her face she let out a grunt as she was flung through the air and soon smashed into the ground tens of meters in the opposite direction.
"Ella!"
Jasper flashed over and helped her up.
"What is this guy on!?" Ella asked, annoyance clear in her tone.
Jasper frowned, equally curious.
"I don't know, but he isn't normal, we need to get back and tell Carlisle, this man with his strength can't be unknown…"
Viktor moved his neck. This was fun, it was a long time since he had a fight against another vampire.
He was getting excited so without waiting any longer, he flashed forward.
Jasper was about to meet him again, but Ella stopped him.
"Let me."
Jasper looked at her in surprise.
"Are you sure?"
Ella nodded.
Viktor arrived in front of them in a flash, he threw a punch at Ella who was standing at the front, but just then Ella threw a simple punch.
Viktor sneered. What was this? Had they given up?
Amateur.
Then the air warped.
And a powerful force spread out, Viktor widened his eyes. What was this!
The force sent him flying through the air, crashing into a few trees before he came to a stop.
After he got out of his stupor, he looked around, they were long gone. He looked down and felt his body, he wasn't hurt, just a few scratches… but what was that? A gift?
VIktor was confused, but he knew he couldn't stay here any longer in case the Cullens had called backup somehow.
He flashed away.
…
On the other side.
A figure with another figure was flashing through the air.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, just exhausted… did we lose him?"
Jasper nodded.
"We did."
Ella sighed.
"I really hate using my gift."
Jasper smiled.
"Yeah, but it's very powerful."
Ella leaned against his back with her cheek.
"Mmhh."

As Viktor got back to the house, Silas was watching tv.
Viktor entered, looking disheveled.
Silas turned his head to him then looked him up and down then asked.
"Where have you been? And what happened?"
Viktor lowered his head.
"I'm sorry master, I've failed you."
Silas frowned.
"What happened?"
Viktor looked up at Silas then said.
"Master I was out hunting… like you said I should."
Silas nodded.
"Then?"
Viktor gave up trying to hide it.
"I was discovered by two Cullens. Jasper and Ella… I think their names were."
Silas frowned.
"Did they discover us?"
"No master, I scared them away."
Silas frowned, then looked at Viktor suspiciously.
"How did you get discovered?"
Viktor looked ashamed.
"I was eating, and then I disposed of the carcass… and it seemed they unintentionally sneaked up on me."
"They were as surprised as I was."
Silas nodded, he looked up at the ceiling and was lost in thought.
"Now you can't be seen with me at all… not that we could be seen together before, but especially not now."
How can I watch the plot unfold from the front row seats if I'm discovered? I will be dragged into the show.
"And if you see me in public, we don't know each other, we are total strangers, you hear?"
Viktor nodded.
"I'm sorry master."
Silas looked at him and sighed.
"It's calm. As long as they don't connect me to what happened, it's fine. Also stay in the house from now on, don't go out unless necessary."
