"Yes! You don't understand how popular she is in the academy. People here will break each others bones for just her book. What do you expect." Answered Herwin to Kyle's question. " Better not let anyone know that I have this book or my peaceful days here will be a memory for me." Kyle could not comprehend the level of fame she had till now due to herwins explanation he was left speechless.he shoved the book into his shabby bag and let herwin begin his teaching class from then on.
" How long has it been since we began this study session?" asked kyle, who was on the verge of collapsing after practicing many problems and learning many theories and rules." It has been over three and a half hours."herwin looked into his watch while saying so. He grinned his teeth in excitement." You have done it, Kyle!! You have learned over five chapters in this short span of time, and you even solved the hardest questions in the lessons." He put his hand on his chest and congratulated him, but as he had looked at him, he was fast asleep.
He thought to himself that if he had put his effort into his studies, he might surpass him in any aspect." If it wasn't for your past trauma and how you had taken, then you might have become the greatest scholar in this Academy. All that I can wish right now is that something or someone might change your mind to pursue success and finally move on from the past that haunts you." Herwin looked along his classroom to see if any of the teachers had noticed Kyle sleeping. Lucky for him, none of them had noticed as most of them were already occupied in teaching the students. Herwin covered Kyle for a while to allow him to get a bit of rest for now. He was able to sleep for two hours thanks to herwins help.
Kyle woke up after those two hours to herwin call. He said to him not to yawn, nor sound like he just woke up from sleeping as many people around them were caught sleeping. Kyle instantly took out his bottle to wet his hands and rub his eyes with the water and drank the rest of the water in the bottle and pulled out a book and began writing whatever he remembered and acted as if he was asking herwin a question. Herwin was unable to answer any of his questions due to him being left speechless and petrified by how he managed to lose his sleepiness so fast without getting caught. Kyle stood up to go to the bathroom to wash his face to let out the rest of his sleepiness. Herwin decided to follow kyle as he had been sitting on the same seat for those two hours." It feels soo numb. I can't even feel my legs even though I'm walking and what is this weird static feeling. This feels soo weird."
Herwin asked kyle if he could join him in a walk by the academy's garden as he had caught up to him.
" huh! Why? Didn't I tell you that I had gone on a walk just a few hours ago." Kyle replied as he splashed a bit of water on his face. " it's so cold now it is autumn season. Winter is gonna be colder this year then."
Herwin wavered but said to kyle that he just wanted to go on a walk with him as they had never did so even thought they were friends since they joined the academy." Can you please for this once." Pleaded Herwin." You only go out alone with Alice and not me even though we were friends for a longer while."
Kyle wondered why Herwin is acting different today. He accepted his request as he did not want to restart his reading just after waking up from his nap.
Herwin smiled and led the way as Kyle followed him. The both of them went out to see the evening weather with the sky painted reddish-orange in colour. Herwin pulled out his mobile to take a picture of the sky with the tress full of leaves." Check this out! I got a good shot after a long while." Kyle laughed.
He remeberd what kind of person Herwin really is due to the serious pressure from his exams and part time work around the academy made him forget. Herwin might look like a serious and matured academic scholar to others, but that was just his outlook. He was a childish boy who has no thought going going through his mind. He follows what he wants to do and enjoys what he does but usually hides that part around most people as he fears being belittled alot.
" why do I forget that you are the most unserious person in our group after me." He said while laughing. It took a while for him stop and he was coming to Herwin, he grabbed his mobile to see how good of a shot he actually had gotten. Kyle looked at herwin and waited a moment before saying that it came out actually pretty good." You know what! You should become a photographer. You have the skills to become one."
Herwin gazed into Kyles eyes with confusion." Why would come here then. I would have just went to a normal grad-school and gotten a normal degree and just done it." Kyle chuckled a bit and said that he was just kidding." I can see that now." Said Herwin disappointed in Kyles ideas.
Herwin clenched his fist. He decided that he is gonna ask him the question he wanted to ask for many days. He took a sight of breath and called kyle. "Hey Kyle? I have a question for you."
"What is it?"" Why don't you use your skills to get better grades. I can easily see that you are just wasting your skills." Kyles eyes dimmed as the small smile on his face left.Herwin began having second thoughts on his question, he began wondering the reasons to why he might not have done it without even hearing Kyles words. Hewas brought back to his senses when Kyle started talking about his past.
" For that you need to first know about my past." Said Kyle with noticable sorrow in his voice.
