Alice only let go of kyle after she had felt that it was enough for him to learn his lesson. Kyle said to her that he would let her come along with him, but he would soon have to go back to his reading session with Herwin so that he does not fail in the mid-terms. She understood what he meant and accepted what he said to her.
" alright fine. I will let you go this time because I don't want you to fail. So just for a while, you will go on a walk with me as a penalty."
Kyle knew that he couldn't escape from her cluches once he gets trapped. He reluctantly accepted her penalty and decided to walk with her as he could at least see her walk around joyously around him. It was a price he would pay as he liked the sight of others smiling alot. He believed that that was the least he could do his friends. Alice pulled him with his arm to go faster as kyle was not picking up her pace.
The decided fifteen minutes became half an hour as kyle decided to let her enjoy this walk a bit more." Let me sit down for a bit. You made me run nearly an entire kilometer without stopping. How are you still able to stand still? " kyle was able to walk a lot, but he was not the best at running. He is not so active at sports as he has a very low stamina. He could not even jog for five minutes without losing his breath.
Alice decided to sit down with him." I just jog around a lot because I have so much work to do."said alice to the kyle who was close to passing out because of breathless he is."Oh! And i guess what that work is. Maybe hanging out with your friends, going to many stores and taking pictures an--"." I said work, not important work, so stop nagging me so much, stick boy." Kyle's mood turned from friendly nagging to annoyance due to him being called stick boy.
He was called as such due to him looking very thin and pale, which made him resemble as a stick to others. This caused him not much much as a problem until it was used by his closest friends which caused him much of an annoyance for they had used it to a point that some of them even forgot his name.
"Please do not call me that. I am very much sick of that name. I should be heading back now, I stayed here longer than i wanted to now I have to pull an all nighter once again if I have to catch up to my schedule so see you tomorrow if I somehow survive this all nighter."
Alices giggle faded away as kyle walked away without looking back once while saying those words." Wait a minute" alice stopped kyle on his walk back. He turned around to ask why she had stopped him but he didn't as alice was infront him with a book over her hands." Here, have this. I specially prepared these for you as I knew that you would be pulling an all-nighter today or maybe tomorrow."
Kyles eyes were filled with gratitude, but he hesitated taking that book. Alice looked at him, waiting for him to take that book. " Why aren't you taking the book? Kyle is something wrong."
"Yes, why is the book pink in colour, and why is your name over it." Well, that is because this is my book and this was the only book that had enough pages in the books I had." Kyle's hesitation decreased a bit, but it still did not go away. Alice had never done such help to anyone, even to her closest friends who were with her even before joining this academy. He could not understand why she was going this far to help him even though they weren't even friends for over four years.
At last he had taken her book as he was getting late and also because he did not want her hard work to go down the drain too. As kyle was walking away with the book given by Alice, her face gave a bright smile to him which had caught him off guard. " See you tomorrow then, kyle." She waved off to him as he went off." he is still as flustered as ever, is he." Alice giggled over the thought of seeing domeone as gloomy as him fluster over her smile.
" Hey Alice, how long are you gonna stay near the garden. We need your help here, you know for our self-study."Alice also decided to head back as she was a big part of the self-study group." I coming now just wait up for me."
The both of them thus went back to their classes to began their revision for their exams with a bit of relf and a bit of more hope and belif as alot of chaos awaited them in the future ahead of them.
Kyle returned to his class with a bit of flusterdness still lingering over his face because of Alice smile lingering over his head."I think I understand why they rank her in one of the most beautiful girls among our academy now." He was lost in his thoughts once again but this time it was due to Alice which did not last for long thought due to herwins interruption" Hey Kyle,where have you been for nearly an entire hour. You said you were going for a few minutes." "Sorry I was caught up in my strool and lost my track of time. Anyway where were we in this chapter." Kyle tried to change the subject and wanted to continue his preparations as he knew he would have to have another sleepless night if he didn't." Ah! were here in the second part of inorganic chemistry."herwin pointed his finger on the textbook to show the exercise we were stuck at before I left as he looked at me, his eyes fell on the book which Kyle was holding onto." Where did you get that book and why is it pink. Did a girl give it you Kyle. Who is that special girl?" Herwin walked closer to him as he asked him that question.
Kyle hesitated to answer him but he had given up before herwin could even ask him for a second time." It's Alice. She had given this book to me because I did four consecutive all-nighters this week and please don't go running around telling it to everyone."
Herwin giggled as he never expected this kind occurrence to occur. " I won't don't worry about it but you are gonna have to tell me late4 what happened while you were in the garden for you to get this book. If anyone knew you have Alice book on inorganic chemistry there will be a war for it."
