It's midday, a man is walking down the street. He's heading towards a restaurant. He has a strong muscular body and hair that goes down to his shoulders. He's only wearing grey pants and sandals. He also seems to be in his twenties.
This man is Komodo.
He's staring at a women. He has known this women for a long time. They had met when they were kids. And over the years they stuck together.
This women has almost pure white hair that goes down right below her shoulder and she wears light grey robes. She seemed to be in her twenties. She has sharp facial features, light skin, slightly red cheeks, and a nice lean body. She is beautiful.
Her name was Ganzhi Tiankong.
"Hmm?" Ganzhi looked up to her right, "Oh it's just you Komodo."
"Huh, am I really that shocking to you?" Komodo replied.
"Hehe, you're not shocking at all." Ganzhi replied giggling.
"Just shut up." Komodo said.
There was a moment of silence until Komodo spoke, "What are you going to do after you eat? I'm bored."
"Lets go to my place after I eat. I just finished building something and I wanted to show it to you." Ganzhi replied, "And also why do you always wake up so late?"
"I'm still young, I got all the time in the world." Komodo said while leaning against a pole.
After Ganzhi finished eating they went to her place. It was at the top floor of a tall building. In each floor of the building there were four rooms. Hers was on the northeast.
Once they walked in they were greeted with a messy room with many things all over the place. And in the right corner was a bed.
Komodo was not surprised by this, he has been to her place plenty of times and his place is even more messy.
"So what are you going to show me?" Komodo asked as he sat on the bed.
Ganzhi scrummaged through the mess in the room and pulled out a pair of gloves.
"This is what I wanted to show you." Ganzhi smiled while turning around.
"Just a pair of gloves? What do they do?" Komodo questioned.
"They're more than just a pair of gloves. They push against each other, which means that I'm able to shoot compressed air." Ganzhi replied.
Ganzhi made her right hand look like she was about to flick something. Then she placed her left hand over her right and slowly pressed down.
BANG!
In an instant she flicked her finger and a giant pulse of air hit Komodo. It made a bruise on Komodo's chest.
"Is that the only way you could use it?" Komodo asked.
"Nope, I'm sure a good user could use it better than me but I just made it so I don't really know how to. And also, if you try clapping it will send a shockwave to yourself." Ganzhi replied.
Ganzhi took off the gloves and put each one in a different pocket. She went through the rubble again and pulled out a one sided ji halberd.
"I made this for you." Ganzhi exclaimed.
Komodo's eyes widened and was emotionally moved. In the past Ganzhi never made anything for him and this was the first.
"I made this indestructible but it doesn't really fit my fighting style. So I thought I'd just give it to you." Ganzhi said.
"How did you make it indestructible?" Komodo asked.
"Hmm." Ganzhi thought, "I made it with a pledge. I think I used a fifth of my life to make it that way."
"What!" Komodo yelled out. "Why would you waste your life on that."
"What," Ganzhi said annoyed, "You said you had all the time in the world, and so do I. There's no telling how long I'm going to live. And plus awakeners live a long time."
Ganzhi stood straight and walked towards Komodo. She sat on his lap and put her warm hands on his cheeks to make him look up at her.
Ganzhi said, "Look Komodo. I don't care if you want it or not. I love you and I'm going to force you to take it."
Komodo turned his head to the right and said, "Gezzz, you don't have to get so close for that. I was going to take it anyway."
Ganzhi hopped off and said, "Hmph, I didn't really care. I just wanted to see your face closer."
"Actually I wanted you to come here because I wanted to tell you something." Ganzhi said with a serious face and tone.
Komodo stared at Ganzhi for a moment before saying, "What is it?"
Ganzhi turned her head to the side of the room, "Actually lets not do it here."
"Are you okay? You sound-"
"I'm fine Komodo. I'm fine." Ganzhi said cutting off Komodo. "I'll tell you some other time. Don't worry."
Komodo sighed at this response because he knew something was wrong. He got off the bed and walked towards Ganzhi.
He hugged her and said, "Don't worry. If something is wrong, I'll be there for you."
Ganzhi hugged Komodo tighter and let out a sigh of relief before saying, "Thanks Komodo."
...
It's now sunset. Komodo is walking on the hills that surround the village. A cool breeze hits Komodo and his hair sways in the wind. He takes out the halberd and looks at it.
He notices every detail of it, from its sharp blade to the ball at the bottom for better grip.

Komodo turned around and saw a man running towards him.
The man stopped around fifteen feet away and Komodo said, "Who are you?"
The man was dressed in black robes and had a rice hat that covered his demonic mask.
...
The man didn't respond.
Komodo pointed the halberd at him and said, "Who are you?!"
Still there was no replied.
Whoosh!
In an instant the mysterious man teleported in front of Komodo. Bam! Komodo swung his arm instantly turning the man into dust.
Now there were a dozen of the man around Komodo.
"It seems like someone is trying to assassinate me." Komodo thought to himself. "But who would. And I've never seen someone with this type of ability."
More of the man rushed at Komodo. But this was no problem for Komodo.
Komodo simply let out two of his tentacles from his back and wiped out several of them with one blow.
"Is this man related to someone I fought in a mission. No. His skillset seems to be testing me. But who in the clan has a hit on me?!" Komodo thought to himself again.
More of the man started to appear and now there were several dozens of them.
Suddenly they all rushed at Komodo. Some of them jumped in the air to attack from above. But Komodo didn't move.
Once they were all close enough.
Boom!
What seems to be spikes popped out of Komodo. They were sent out in every direction instantly turning all of the clones into dust. But it wasn't spikes, it was Komodo's tentalces!
Komodo saw the real clone standing to the side and instantly ran at him. Komodo swung at the mans head and was about to hit him, but at the last second the man blocked with a dagger.
The man was send flying a couple of steps ahead. Two more clones appeared and they all rushed at Komodo.
"From what I can tell the clones are the man's life force. He only summoned three which means he could distribute the power between clones." Komodo thought.
Komodo started to clash between the three. The three had good coordination and got several hits on Komodo. But Komodo remembered who the real one was and kept targeting him.
Each time Komodo was close to hitting the real one, a clone would take the attack.
Even if Komodo trapped a clone in one of his tentacles, the man would just kill it and create a new one.
BANG!
A hole appeared in the mans head. The clones instantly dispersed. Komodo was shocked.
"Ohh, opps." Ganzhi said with a shocked expression.
"Did you know who that was, Komodo?" Ganzhi asked.
"No, I tried asking for his name but he wouldn't respond." Komodo replied.
The man fell to the floor.
In Ganzhi's hand there was a rubber band. She would put the rubber band in her thumb and index finger and shoot energy balls made out of her life force by stretching and releasing it.
"Actually a similar event happened to me." Ganzhi said. "A man started attacking me but I subdued him."
Komodo took off the mans hat and mask and looked at his face.
"I have no idea who this person is. So that means someone in the clan is after us." Komodo said.
"It seems so." Ganzhi replied. "But where would we go to sleep if someone is after us?"
"Up here I guess. And there is still an hour before the sun goes down." Komodo said.
The sun's rays hit their faces. They were staring right at it. It was beautiful sight to see as the wind blew gradually.
"Komodo, you're the sun to me." Ganzhi exclaimed.
Komodo looked at Ganzhi with a shocked expression.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Komodo said surprised.
"You're the sun because you brighten up my day." Ganzhi said happily.
"Well if I'm the sun, that means that your the sky." Komodo said smiling, "Because my life is about giving yours light."
Ganzhi was moved by this.
"Komodo if anything ever happens to me, promise me that you'll live on." Ganzhi said.
"I promise that I'll live on for you." Komodo replied.
"Alright then. I'll tell you what I wanted to tell you earlier." Ganzhi said looking down.
Komodo turned his head to look at her.
"This world is wrong. If we are elephants and the people are ants, why are they still able to become awakeners. People are born equal and the only thing that separates us is circumstances. We're not allowed to question or do anything against the empire. They're keeping us trapped to keep us limited. They only want the power for themselves. I know many people already think this but it just skips over their heads. I actually want to do something about this. I want to change this world. Komodo, would you help me in changing this world."
"O- of course I'll help you. But how do you intend to change this world?" Komodo asked.
"I don't know how yet. But I will, I will change this world." Ganzhi said.

The moon was almost completely gone and only a sliver of it could be seen. Both Komodo and Ganzhi were staring at the stars. They were on top of the hills because they were too afraid of going back to their rooms.
Komodo sat down first looking at the moon. Then Ganzhi sat down right next to him.
"Komodo, take this." Ganzhi pulled out a ring.
"What? Are you proposing to me right now?" Komodo asked.
"Well if you see that way, then yes." Ganzhi said.
"But this is more than a ring." Ganzhi said, "It links our souls together."
"What do you mean?" Komodo asked.
"You know how awakeners are able to see spirits. Well if one of us dies while we have these rings on, then only we could see each other." Ganzhi explained.
Komodo looked a little shocked, "How were you able to do this."
"Honestly... I stole it from someone on a mission." Ganzhi smiled.
"Alright then, I'll take it." Komodo held out his hand.
Ganzhi gave it to him and he put it on his ring finger. And Ganzhi did the same.
Komodo laid down looking at the stars above. Ganzhi did the same and rolled towards Komodo before hugging him. Komodo wrapped his arm around her body.
"Komodo, I want you to be happy." Ganzhi said.
"I want you to be happy too." Komodo replied.
