A eerie blue light shined on Komodo's left hand. He raised up his hand showing to Nevooa and Invierno.
He pointed to the ring on his middle finger and said, "This ring allows me to chanel the energy from spirits around me."
"Huh? I see no spirits around him though?" Invierno thought staring at Komodo blankly.
"What about the other ring?" Nevooa asked.
"Well... Can't you see, I'm married." Komodo said with his eyes glowing. "Now prepare yourself, Nevooa."
In an instant Komodo rushed at Nevooa.
BANG!
Their weapons clashed, spewing sparks everywhere. After a second Nevooa got sent flying. Komodo raised his left and an eerie blue energy shot at Nevooa.
Nevooa placed his sword in front of his body barely blocking the energy attack on time. Nevooa got back on his feet and rushed at Komodo.
The flame on Nevooa's sword started grow, now it was twice as big as before.
Nevooa swung all of his attacks Komodo, Komodo dodged all of them until the last one which grazed his chest.
WHOOSH!
Komodo swung his halberd upward cutting the ground and sending an energy blast at Nevooa. Nevooa barely dodged it by sidestepping to his right.
Pew Pew Pew
Nevooa's pupils shrunk as he saw multiple energy blast hurling towards him. Nevooa swung his sword for each blast, each one exploded on impact moving Nevooa several steps backward.
Nevooa's mind was all over the place right now. With his current experience with fighting he had not yet fought someone with long ranged attacks.
Right now Komodo had stopped firing the energy blast at him, Komodo was just staring at Nevooa while his black hair blew in the wind.
Nevooa was doing the same but in a ready stance. He was already sweaty, he gripped his sword tighter as he stared deep into Komodo's eyes.
And slowly anger rose.
This was the man who killed Nevooa's father figure. The one who led him into danger many times. The one who had taught him barely anything. The one who left Nevooa behind to learn from others. The one who failed at being a teacher to him.
How could Nevooa not be angry? Nevooa had once said that he had forgave Komodo but Nevooa was truly a hypocrite! He had decided to bury these emotions within him and forget.
This was the opportunity to kill Komodo. He did not know what Komodo brought him down here for, but to Nevooa's assumptions he might as well kill Komodo. If he kills Komodo he would gain a boost in power right?
Nevooa gripped his sword even tighter and started to grit his teeth. Nevooa's life energy started to channel around him.
"What? Such a boost in strength!" Invierno and Komodo thought to themselves. "I've never seen him like this before."
The life energy in Nevooa gradually rose as he stood there looking at Komodo. It rose, it rose, it rose, it rose. Until, a pair of wings formed out of Nevooa's back. But these were no ordinary wings, they were beetle wings!

Nevooa seemingly spawned behind Komodo several feet in the air and swung down.
Klank!
Komodo moved his halberd over his shoulder and blocked Nevooa's attack. Komodo flicked his halberd upward pushing Nevooa off.
Nevooa kept on rushing at Komodo leaving after images in the air. Komodo nonchalantly blocked all of Nevooa's attacks with an expressionless face. Meanwhile Nevooa had a killing intent in his eyes.
On the side Invierno was smiling as he continued to watch.
Komodo sidestepped to his left as Nevooa appeared in front of him.
Bang Bang Bang
Their weapons clashed against each other again and again.
Komodo raised his left hand and shot out a larger energy blast that blasted Nevooa tens of feet back.
The eerie blue energy that surrounded Komodo's left hand had now started to move towards his halberd.
Nevooa rolled on the ground as his mind was still all over the place. He began to bleed a little from his mouth. This was due to keeping his life energy at the point were his beetle wings could form. The emotions inside him before were able to keep it going, but right now he was trying his hardest to keep it constant.
Nevooa pounced at Komodo again. Komodo started to swing his halberd before Nevooa was even in range.
Whoosh!
An eerie blue crescent was heading towards Nevooa and in the heat of battle Nevooa gave out. His wings retracked and he lost conciseness.
Nevooa's body tumbled on the ground as the crescent flew past.
"Wait Komodo don't turn off your ring! I want a piece of the pie too!" Invierno shouted madly as he ran towards him.
Komodo and Invierno went blow for blow for a couple of seconds. Until Komodo kicked him away. Then Komodo threw out another crescent but this one was horizontal.
Invierno blocked it but it dug into his upper left arm. White and grey flame grew in his bottom right hand and he ran towards Komodo again.
"This! He's using his strongest move on me?!" Komodo thought and froze.
BAM!
Invierno had gutted him straight into the stomach. Komodo was immobile while Invierno let out a barrage of attacks.
"GET OFF OF ME!" Komodo shouted as he cut Invierno diagonally sending him flying.
"Your strongest attack. I understand what it does now." Komodo said.
"What? It does something else than being strong?"
"Yes, from what I got when you used it against me twice is that it does cause massive damage but it also stuns the nervous system."
"Nervous system?"
Komodo slapped his face.
"Did you not pay attention in the academy?"
"Uhhhh, no."
"The nervous system is what controls the entire body, so your attack basically stuns the opponent allowing you to get extra hits in."
Invierno scoffed, "Sounds interesting."
"What are we going to do now?" Invierno asked.
"Were going to wait until Nevooa wakes up then were going to start what I wanted to do." Komodo replied.
