"You go first. I'll rest here for a bit—I'll be fine soon," Sister Temari said, clutching her right ankle.
Shikamaru thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright. I'll head over first."
He walked alone toward Kurenai's house.
Only after hearing the door open and close did Temari slowly straighten up. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around Kaien's neck.
"You little rascal… you're really bold. Taking advantage of me right in front of Shikamaru. Aren't you afraid he'll find out?" She scolded softly, though her eyes were anything but stern.
"Who told Sister Temari to cling to me first?" Kaien replied, his hands settling around her slender waist.
"Hmph, and you're still talking. You know I have no resistance to you, yet you keep teasing me," she pouted, lightly pinching his arm.
"Hehe. Sister Temari, you were really sensitive just now…" Kaien murmured teasingly near her ear.
"Ah! Stop talking!" Her face turned even redder as she leaned weakly against him. "It's all your fault. You've completely corrupted me."
Kaien swallowed, unable to look away from her flushed, alluring expression. "Sister Temari, then right now we—"
"Mmm!"
His words were cut off as Temari suddenly kissed him.
After a brief moment of shock, Kaien responded, pressing her gently against the wall as their lips intertwined.
The thrill of the situation heightened everything—Shikamaru was only inside Kurenai's house nearby.
If they were discovered…
Temari didn't dare imagine it. Yet that danger only intensified the dizzying excitement surging through her.
Her thoughts blurred as she lost herself in the moment.
After a long while, they finally pulled apart, both breathing heavily.
"Kaien… you're getting naughtier and naughtier," Temari murmured, her eyes half-lidded.
"Sister Temari, you were the one who started it," Kaien replied with a playful grin.
She shyly glared at him, then traced circles lightly against his chest.
"When we go on this trip… let's find an opportunity, and we…"
She didn't finish her sentence, but Kaien understood perfectly.
She wanted to leave the village to avoid Shikamaru's watchful presence—and finally let herself go without fear.
At home, she always had to worry about being discovered. But outside? It would be different.
Kaien's eyes brightened. He pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Sister Temari… are you finally willing to be mine?"
"You brat, keep your voice down! Do you want someone to hear us?" she hissed, glancing around nervously.
"Hehe, I'm just excited," Kaien admitted, holding her closer.
She lightly punched his chest before regaining her composure.
"Alright, we've been out here long enough. Let's go in before Shikamaru gets suspicious."
"Okay."
"Wait."
She stopped him again and crouched down.
"I need to actually twist my ankle a little, or he'll notice it's fine later."
"Sister Temari, don't—"
"It's fine. I'll just apply some medicine later."
Before he could stop her, she gently twisted her ankle. A sharp crack echoed faintly. Her face instantly paled from the pain.
"Hiss—"
"Sister Temari!" Kaien quickly steadied her, concern flashing across his face.
"I'm fine… just used a bit too much force," she said through clenched teeth.
"Let me massage it for you."
"No!" She shook her head quickly. If he touched her again now, she feared she'd lose control—and they'd be gone too long.
"Help me to Kurenai's house."
Kaien nodded and supported her carefully as they walked.
"Knock, knock, knock."
Inside, Shikamaru stood up. "Teacher Kurenai, I'll get the door. It should be Temari and Kaien."
He opened it and frowned. "Why did you take so long?"
"My ankle hurt too much," Temari said softly, lowering her gaze.
Shikamaru glanced down and saw that her ankle was indeed swollen and red.
"Why is it so swollen?"
"I don't know. It suddenly started hurting badly."
Kurenai stepped out from the living room. "What happened? Are you alright?"
When her eyes landed on Kaien, they instantly turned cold.
This shameless brat actually dared to come here. The events from two nights ago still lingered in her mind—and left her extremely displeased.
"Teacher Kurenai, I'm fine. Just twisted it a bit," Temari assured her.
"Come in quickly. It's swollen like that and you say you're fine?" Kurenai urged. "I'll get some medicine."
Kaien helped Temari inside and seated her on the sofa.
Kurenai soon returned with a bottle of ointment. "Apply this. The swelling should go down soon."
"Teacher Kurenai, we've troubled you," Shikamaru said apologetically as he took the medicine.
"It's nothing. You came to visit me and ended up injured. That makes me feel worse," Kurenai replied, waving her hand. "Hurry and help her apply it."
"No need, I'll do it myself," Temari quickly said, taking the bottle.
Then she turned toward Kaien.
"Kaien, help me to the restroom."
