Suzuki Hana died from an illness. Boring, quiet, and completely undramatic. The kind of death nobody writes poems about. He expected peace. He woke up in modern Japan instead. Same country. Same language. Same convenience stores on every corner. The only difference was that his body was completely, catastrophically wrong. Short red hair, a beautiful face that had no business belonging to a guy, and proportions that made passing strangers stop and stare. No explanation. No warning. Just a goddess body and absolutely nobody to complain to about it. After everything his illness had stolen from him, Suzuki made himself one promise for this second life: actually have fun. He became a hikikomori NEET otaku gamer who only left the house once a year for a game event. And on the way home from that one game event, on the one day he had gone outside like a functioning member of society, he got struck by lightning. He woke up in a bland waiting room. Plastic chairs. Ceiling that inspired nothing. And in the corner, a water goddess crying loudly enough to be everyone's problem. Somehow, within a single conversation, she had convinced him to come with her to a brand new world. He had not agreed to any of this. He wants that on the record. Now he travels this ridiculous world with a goddess who creates more problems than she solves, a mage who only knows one spell and considers that perfectly acceptable, and a crusader whose definition of protecting the party is deeply, deeply concerning. He just wanted a happy life. He got a wonderful harem instead. Close enough.
