Vault door two hundred and fifty eight. At this point the individuals participating in this had undergone varies effects that altered them.
Nyx had absolutely no gravity and couldn't control her body's direction without someone holding onto her, and she had been shrunken down to plushie size.
Amanises had become an amorphous blob of different animal parts creating the ugliest Chimera ever.
Velzard was frozen in a block of her own ice with only her head still stuck out of the frozen chunk.
Dino had his body parts segmented with him able to telekinetically control each limb but unable to reattach them.
Isaac had turned into an amorphous flesh monster that resembled your average eldritch god with eyes, mouths and tongues where there shouldn't be eyes, mouths and tongues.
Evelyn had turned into a puddle of slimy bubblegum that was struggling to move due to how sticky she was.
And finally Guy Crimson who just had gotten a virus that was specifically created to target the immune system of a Devil lord, coincidentally. Luckily this virus was explained by the prerecorded Drunk Simon that the virus hadn't reached the stage to become lethal and was more of an impairment.
And lastly was me who didn't have any effects due to the fact that I wasn't allowed to participate.
"I fucking hate it here." Nyx said in her currently adorable plushie voice.
They opened the 258th vault door and saw a pitch black void, a couple seconds passed looking into the void until a vacuum pulled them all into the void and they were left falling into a new room.
Suddenly a giant monitor showed up, "Hello everybody, you made it." They were in there for so long that they were exceptionally glad to hear that drunken voice, it was proof that they finally made progress, "Now for your next challenge, I'm… fuck, ok I'm too lazy to do anything else so here's a bunch of spiritron warheads with different times countdowns going down at different speeds cause… Ima go bang my girlfriend, VELZARD!"
The monitor receeded into space and the room lit up and revealed exactly what he said. A endless tower effect with the walls lined with specialized bombs.
Each bomb had different countdowns, "Dear god what is this." Immediately everyone began dismantling the room at high speeds.
When the room lit up, one individual had a very weird expression. Guy Crimson realized that the virus had given him a very attuned sense of frequency coming off of these bombs, "Everyone stop!"
Hearing his words, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked hesitantly to Guy, "Only one of them is real and it's this one." Guy pointed to the one that was on the floor in the center of the room.
They lifted up the panel and saw that this was probably the most complicated setup they had ever seen, evens Guy and Nyx who could brag about there intelligence felt so stupid just looking at this setup.
Nyx: " Oh this is interesting." She pointed to a certain tube that showed a liquid that was the same composition of Evelyn's bubblegum like body.
Evelyn squished her body smaller and squeezed into the gap, she found herself in a shrunken dimension that was all bubblegum.
Drunk Simon: "Little disclaimer, the… the bubblegum can transfer energy through it to other sources."
Hearing that, Evelyn got the jest of it and tried to control what to do with her body and transferred the electrical charge out of the bomb. The results was that the the timer on the bomb seemed to increase.
Next was a shrunken section that seemed to be perfect shape for the plushie-like Nyx, "Do I really have to go in there?"
Everyone's deadpan stare just confirmed that, she was forced to enter with the help of the segmented Dino being used as a tightrope so that she doesn't float aimlessly. In that tight section, Nyx was hung aimlessly into a endless void that she found a black orb.
She touched it and it immediately attached to her, " Ew, get off me get off me! GET! OFF! ME!" Nyx was disgusted by this strange orb that had suddenly attached to her. It felt soft and squishy and melted into her hand.
The orb welded itself onto her and began transfiguring her body into an ugly disfigured Chimera that was looked exactly the same as what Amanises was turned into.
Dino had felt what was going on down there and was forced to pull back up, " Oh shit oh shit oh shit!" When Nyx was completely pulled out of the void, she immediately went berserk and was forced to attack her comrades in this… hellscape.
Amanises: " What the fuck? WHY!?"
Suddenly, an AI voice came from the bomb, " Suggestion: merge flesh and animal."
Isaac was currently running… or slithering away from the monster, "What the hell does that mean!?"
"Suggestion: merge flesh and animal." The AI repeated itself which forced them to draw their own conclusions.
But then Guy had gotten an idea of the clue and why the Chimera that looked like the current Amanises was chasing Isaac, "Isaac! Jump at Amanises!"
Isaac: "HUH!?"
Guy: " Just do it!"
Isaac hesitantly jumped at Amanises… and to his surprise, his body began to mold around and merge with Amanises.
The AI had come out once more, "Clue: Chimera Vs Chimera."
Amanises: "Oh no, I'm so sorry Nyx."
Suddenly both Chimeras lunged at each other into a brawl, the tendrils coming off of Isaac had formed into extra appendages that allowed for extra strength. They had no realized that fusing their current bodies helped both of them out by giving Amanises rigid body more fluidity and flexibility and giving Isaac's formlessness more structure.
The fight raged on until Nyx's Chimera body had exploded into flesh and blood and out came the plushie Nyx with a button in her hand with the words saying press for next clue.
She pressed it immediately and out came that AI voice, "Press bomb against the North." The clue was both obscure and very clear. Everyone immediately put all their strength into pushing the frozen Velzard against the northern wall and with 10 seconds left they all tried to get as much distance from her as possible.
And with that the bomb exploded and the wall was instantly blown away to reveal a hallway.
They saw the giant monitor come down, "Congratulations! Fuck!" And there drunk Simon fainted on-screen.
