Chapter 61 - 61 ALLMIGHT

While they were having their meeting…

On the third floor, Room 0013.

A man lay on a white hospital bed, sleeping peacefully.

Beside him sat two girls—Nemu and Isane.

They were seated near the bed, watching him up close.

He looked calm. Untroubled.

Isane's thoughts wandered.

Her mother had found her stepfather in the most bizarre way imaginable. At first, she thought Unohana was joking. But now it was real.

She had witnessed this very man scold her mother when she confessed she wanted to die.

Isane remembered how he had slowly approached Unohana. She had thought it was over. She had been furious at herself for standing there and doing nothing. Hatred, fear, and anger had surged through her heart.

But then—

He shouted at her mother.

He questioned her decision.

And Isane had finally breathed again.

She was grateful.

She didn't really know what to feel about the man lying before her.

Nemu, meanwhile, stared at him closely.

She was studying him.

Nemu felt something strange within her.

Her heart was beating abnormally fast. Her face felt warm. Yet her expression remained stoic as ever.

She wanted to analyze what was happening to her.

Slowly, she lifted her index finger and poked Maki's cheek.

Her fingertip felt the softness of his skin.

Isane glanced at her.

She saw how intense Nemu's gaze was. And Isane knew what kind of girl Nemu was—stoic, almost robotic.

But watching those tiny reactions…

Only one conclusion formed in her mind.

Isane spoke softly.

"Hey, Nemu… do you also like this guy?"

"Like? Him?" Nemu repeated.

She stopped poking him and tilted her head at Isane, silently asking what she meant.

Isane saw the bewilderment.

But she also saw it—that subtle, fleeting smile.

There was no need to ask further.

The answer was already clear.

Isane smiled gently.

Then both of them turned their attention back to the sleeping man.

Back in the meeting room.

Before the projection could begin, Nezu pulled a small remote from his inner chest pocket.

The remote had four red buttons.

He pressed the third one.

The ceiling lights shut off.

The entire room fell into darkness.

Vooooosh—

The disk at the center of the table glowed, illuminating the dim room with a blue light.

The video began playing automatically.

Except for Nemuri, Mei, and Yoruichi—who already knew what had happened—the rest were unaware.

Earlier, they had simply been carrying out their own duties.

All Might had been in the Yellow Ribbon Chamber monitoring room, supervising examinees.

But his eyes were fixed on a particular monitor.

On the screen was a green-haired boy wearing a light blue tracksuit and red sneakers.

His most iconic feature was the four freckles on each side of his cheeks, arranged symmetrically in a diamond shape.

Those freckles weren't ordinary.

Though no one spoke of it, those diamond-shaped freckles symbolized an unpolished gem—a diamond in the rough.

The very reason the boy came here was to polish himself into something that could shine even in the darkest path.

But something was different about him.

His eyes were sharper now.

Predatory.

There was a hint of arrogance in the way he walked.

All Might watched him carefully.

He didn't know what had changed.

He was worried about his chosen successor.

All Might was the Symbol of Peace—the hope everyone relied on.

But after the brutal battle against his nemesis, things were different.

He had suffered a severe injury. Though professional healers had saved him—leaving no visible scars, no fractures—the toll on his body was undeniable.

It was as if his body was telling him that time was running out.

Past battles. Past injuries. Past damage.

Everything was catching up to him at once.

Like Atlas carrying the weight of the world.

Unlike many powerful beings, All Might was only human.

And yet he smiled through everything.

His sacrifices—everything he endured—were for peace.

He wanted to spread hope.

To smile and tell everyone that everything would be all right.

Because—

"I AM HERE."

But his time was running out.

He steadied himself.

He placed his index fingers at the corners of his lips and pushed upward.

That smile.

His iconic smile.

A symbol of will and resolve.

"HAHAHAHA… I guess it's time…"

Time for All Might to pass on the torch.

The will.

The burden.

But to whom?

(・・;)))

Yup....no to skeleton Allmight.

I want to give All Might the real version of him.

I was doing my research, and it turns out from the MHA movies that Toshinori Yagi was actually well-built.

And unlike broccoli head…

All Might always deserved the power he had.

We saw that when he tried to fight others even when he was Quirkless. He worked hard for it. He trained for it.

Unlike the seaweed who cried in the early episodes.

Have you seen the bike guy in One Punch Man?

He's completely powerless.

And that broccoli dude was letting others bully him like it was just another Tuesday.

Nah.

But I guess that's the thing called character development.

A plain man receives a powerful ability, and then we watch him grow into it.

I suppose that's how it works in shonen.

And to be fair, he did develop along the way, and it was a banger.

But for All Might?

Nope.

No need for comparison.

All Might wasn't always that "skeleton-like."

In his prime, he stayed in his Muscle Form 24/7. That was his natural state once he mastered One For All.

The skeletal version seen at the start of the series—what fans call "Small Might"—is actually the result of a horrific injury, not natural aging

The Turning Point: The First Fight with All For One

Five years before the main story begins, All Might fought All For One in a battle so violent that it permanently damaged both of them.

The Injury:

All Might had his stomach completely destroyed and lost his left lung.

The Surgeries:

He underwent countless surgeries just to survive, but the physical toll was immense.

The Result:

His body wasted away because he could no longer digest food properly, and his respiratory system was severely compromised.

Before the injury, he looked like a naturally massive, muscular man. He didn't have the sunken, blacked-out eyes or the protruding bones.

He was simply a giant, healthy powerhouse.

If you watch My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, you can see "Young Age" All Might.

He's huge, handsome, and definitely not skeletal.

So I'll keep him as the real him.

"Character development is for people who don't know who they are."

And—
