Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – Love Without a Crown

The rain washed the city like a confession.

Meera ran through the streets, her slippers soaked, her breath uneven.

She reached the old bench near the temple.

Aarav was there.

No suit.

No driver.

No glass tower.

Just a man in a simple shirt, holding a small bag.

You gave up everything, she said, breathless.

I gave up a lie, he replied.

She walked closer.

Her anger had melted into fear of losing him.

I didn't want your money, she whispered.

I wanted your truth.

And now you have both, he said softly. "The poor man and the real man.

Tears fell from her eyes.

I was scared, she said.

So was I.

They stood under the same sky that had once hidden them.

I don't need your empire, she said.

I need your honesty.

And I don't need my billions, he smiled,

I need your trust.

Her mother watched them from a distance, holding an umbrella.

She is strong, her mother said to Aarav.

So be strong for her.

I will, he promised.

Months later…

They opened a small tailoring center together.

Poor girls came to learn.

Not for charity, but for dignity.

Aarav worked beside Meera.

No guards.

No throne.

Just threads and tea.

On the wall hung a simple line:

Here, no one is rich. No one is poor. Only honest.

On a quiet evening, Meera stitched something special.

She placed it in Aarav's hand.

A handkerchief.

With two names:

Aarav & Meera.

You don't need crowns to be king, she said.

You just need truth to be loved.

He smiled.

And for the first time…

He was richer than a billionaire.
