Victoria's face twisted with pure rage. The little brat had ruined it all. There was nothing they could do about the pictures.
And how on Earth had the police arrived already? It hadn't even been ten minutes since Angel had sent those pictures.
Unless the stupid girl had called the police first too!
Devin's eyes widened in panic as he glanced around. "No, no, no, Finnegan is on his way. The police will be here any second."
He backed away, his hands trembling, looking like a cornered animal. His gaze darted toward the hedges. "I'm not getting caught here. Not like this. Not because of some sniveling little idiot!"
"I'm not the one who got caught because I couldn't keep it in my pants," Angel shrugged, and that just inflamed Devin's anger more.
Victoria grabbed his arm, her fingers digging into the fabric of his sleeve, desperation written all over her face. "Devin, wait! You can't leave me here alone! What am I supposed to-"
