Samantha and Frodo, along with Rosalia and Cole, were the family members of Luna and Yuna. They had been searching for the twins ever since the day they vanished after being targeted by the Fighter Division of the Fauvism. Their efforts were relentless—posters of the missing girls were plastered across every wall and pole throughout the city.
Three long months had passed and still, there was no trace of them.
Only one person had a clue to their whereabouts—( Florence Eiby ), their quiet neighbor from the small house near the university. Somehow, he knew the girls were heirs to wonder stones though he never disclosed how he discovered the secret. Florence often reassured Frodo, telling him he had a strong feeling that the twins were alive and well. Secretly, Luna and Yuna would visit him in a hidden location that only the three of them knew, a place they kept entirely concealed from the Fauvism.
One such day, Florence waited in their usual meeting spot. Suddenly, the girls appeared in a flash of light, arriving via Luna's teleportation ability.
He greeted them warmly, walking forward with a smile.
"Welcome, girls. You're late this time."
Yuna : "Yes, something came up. We'll tell you about it later. For now, we want to know—how is our family?"
"They're doing well," Florence replied. "They're still searching for you tirelessly. In fact, sometimes I want to tell them to stop—to just bring them to you, so they can rest."
"That would be a terrible idea," Luna said firmly. "We don't want to involve them in any of this."
"I know," he said. "But don't worry. I'll never tell them I meet you. If I did, they'd insist on coming too."
"Exactly. And if that happens, The Fauvism might find out and that would cause serious trouble."
"Yes," he agreed.
After a while, the twins left the hidden spot, returning to their new base. They were now full members of the Moon Division , which had recently absorbed the Kaos Team. The merged force had one common mission: to attack and dismantle the bases of the National and Fighter Divisions .
The Fauvism, once a unified institution working for the greater good, had become fractured. Its leaders had changed for the worse, abusing their power, which led to conflict and disunity. Rather than focusing on saving the dwindling number of Stone Heirs, they fought one another.
Kaos Team was split into three operational squads:
Jayden, Tristan and Merrick made up one team.
William, Chris and Sony another.
The Ribwan twins, Clara, and Salvador formed the third.
Meanwhile, Dalia had become a personal assistant to Tia, offering valuable intelligence, especially regarding Fighter Division hideouts. Her information had helped the Moon Division destroy multiple enemy bases.
At the same time, deep within his stronghold, Murphy sat on his throne when a subordinate entered with grim news.
"My lord, several of our bases have been destroyed by the Moon Division operatives."
Murphy's eyes narrowed. "Have we identified the attackers?"
"We suspect they include members of the Kaos Team—the ones previously defeated by the National Division."
"That's possible," he said.
"There's something else," the subordinate added.
"What is it?"
"One of our own, Dalia, was spotted during the battle, seemingly aiding the Moon Division."
"She betrayed us?" Murphy growled.
"Yes, my lord."
"She will regret that. Inform the other commanders of this betrayal. Tell the researchers to work harder on gathering intelligence about our enemies."
"Okay, sir."
Once the subordinate left, Murphy's anger boiled. His forces were suffering far more than the National Division. Without wasting a second, he grabbed his phone and dialed Yossan.
Yossan answered immediately. "Ah, Lord Murphy, what a surprise."
"Cut the sarcasm, Yossan."
"Alright, calm down. What's going on?"
"The Moon Division has launched attacks. Multiple bases were destroyed."
"I've heard. Three bases on my end. Without a doubt, they're behind this."
"They are. We need to strike back, but we lack enough intelligence."
"We're gathering it. It's only a matter of time before we pinpoint their weaknesses."
"I want to meet you. We need to talk in person."
"How about tomorrow?"
"Perfect."
Two Days Later
Jayden parted ways with Tristan and Merrick after their training session. He then took a book and found a quiet spot to read during his break. As he flipped through the pages, he sensed someone approaching. Turning his head, he saw Melvin.
"Hey, Commander. How are you?"
Melvin didn't respond. His face was grim—something was wrong.
"What's the matter?" Jayden asked, worried.
"It's your mother, Durbin. She was in an accident. She's in the hospital."
"What?! I have to go see her right now!"
"There's more. Someone else was with her—one of Luna and Yuna's acquaintances. She was injured too."
Jayden's heart sank.
Several years prior, Luna and Yuna had met another Stone Heir named ( Xiao ), who, like them, used her powers for good. But for reasons of her own, she gave up her powers and lived without them for an entire month. As a result, her stone rejected her and passed on to someone else. She then began working as a doctor at a local hospital.
The day of the accident, both Xiao and Jayden's mother, ( Teresa ) were injured in the same car crash.
Melvin had already informed the twins. Now it was Jayden's turn.
"I have to go visit my mother," Jayden said firmly. "And the twins should visit their friend too."
Melvin shook his head. "That won't happen."
Jayden stared at him in disbelief. "What do you mean no? You expect me to abandon my only mother?"
"We have a schedule of missions that must be completed."
"You can't be serious. I won't abandon her—no matter what."
Jayden's voice was strong. He didn't care that Melvin was a commander or stronger than him. He had faced danger before—like when he fought Joey—and never backed down.
Melvin gave a small smile. "I admire your courage. But you've misunderstood me."
"Then explain."
"Your mother and the twins' friend were injured on the same day. Do you really believe that's just a coincidence?"
Jayden's eyes widened. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying this was planned. The accident was staged."
"You mean the National or Fighter Division did this?!"
"Exactly."
"I don't care. I still have to go. We all do."
"You sound just like the Ribwan twins. You're right—I can't force you not to go. But I'll come with you. We'll go together."
"Really?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?"
"Sorry for how I spoke earlier, Commander."
"It's fine. Now get ready. We're leaving soon—me, you and the twins."
Jayden skipped his mission with Tristan and Merrick. Luna and Yuna didn't go with Salvador and Clara either. They had more important matters to tend to.
Two hours later, the group arrived at the city where Jayden's mother ( Teresa ) and Xiao were hospitalized.
On the way, Melvin asked, "So, Jayden, you never told us—why do you live away from your mother?"
Jayden replied quietly, "She left me when she found out I was in a gang."
"What?"
"It's a long story. I'll tell you later."
Once they reached the hospital, the group split up. The twins went to Xiao's room, while Jayden and Melvin went to see Teresa.
A nurse entered Teresa's room. Her head was bandaged and her right leg was in a cast.
"Mrs. Durbin, you have a visitor," the nurse said.
"Who is it?"
"He says he's a family."
"Let him in."
Jayden walked in. Teresa turned her face away immediately. But Jayden approached and sat beside her.
Jayden : "Mom, I know you're still angry with me. I know I've made mistakes that can't be erased. But I came to see you anyway, even if you hate me for it."
She glared at him. "Who told you I was here?"
"A friend of mine."
"Tell your friend I hate him."
"I will."
"Leave."
"Mom, I just got here."
"You betrayed everything you stood for, Jayden. You were a protector of the innocent—now you're just a criminal."
"I wasn't a criminal. The gang I joined—"
"Don't give me that nonsense about revenge."
Jayden stood. "Fine. I'll leave. I just wanted to see you. Goodbye."
He turned, but suddenly—
He felt an incoming surge of energy.
Without thinking, he grabbed his mother, shielding her with a metal barrier. Then he leapt out the window just as a powerful blast demolished her hospital room.
Teresa screamed in fear. "What's happening?! How did you do that?!"
Jayden : "I'll explain later, Mom. But you need to hide. This is serious."
Jayden scanned the area and saw them—two figures approaching slowly.
Karaido and Joey.
Melvin was supposed to be guarding the perimeter. What had gone wrong? Jayden could only imagine the worst.
Joey smirked. "Thinking about your babysitter out there?"
Jayden growled. "What did you do to him?"
"Someone's taking care of him. Don't worry."
"Damn you all…"
Jayden's mother moved away to safety place while her son began on facing his attackers.
Joey fired a rocket. Jayden blocked it with a lightning shield. But Karaido appeared suddenly—teleporting right in front of him with his scythe.
Jayden blocked the strike and countered. But then another missile flew—he dodged. Karaido slashed again, wounding Jayden's back.
Gritting his teeth, Jayden caught Karaido's weapon, yanked him forward and tried to kick him. Karaido blocked it and the two leapt apart.
They were serious this time. Dead serious.
Wounded but determined, Jayden stood his ground.
Would he survive this battle
And what had happened to Melvin and the twins
How would the heroes overcome this trap that had been so carefully set?
