William and Aiden had gone together to visit the grave of William's real father. The two stood silently before the headstone, placing fresh flowers at its base. For a moment, the only sound was the soft whisper of the wind through the trees.
Then, William broke the silence.
"Thank you for agreeing to my request and accompanying me to my real father's grave."
Aiden gave a small nod. "You're welcome."
William looked down at the grave thoughtfully. "So… what kind of man was he?"
Aiden exhaled slowly. "He was kind… and admittedly a bit lazy sometimes."
"You're quite blunt," William remarked with a faint smile. "But why didn't he ever try to see me? Not even once?"
"The story's a bit complicated, William. Are you sure you want to hear it?"
"I do."
Aiden paused, then began. "When your mother discovered that your father was a heir to a wonder stone, she was afraid. She left him. As you know, we, the heirs of the wonder stones, are labeled in ancient texts as monsters—damned sorcerers. Not long after, she married another man who helped raise you and treated you as his own son."
"So that's why my mother separated from my blood father," William murmured.
"Yes. But… he still watched over you from afar, William."
"Really?"
Aiden nodded. "He didn't want to interfere. He saw you had a normal family, without the burdens of our kind. He was once an active member of the Moon Division."
"Was he strong?"
"Absolutely. Smart, too. Before he died of illness, he wished he could've done more for us. But what he didn't realize was that he was already one of our greatest assets. Because of him, we found you—his son—and welcomed you into our cause along with a team of powerful fighters. That has expanded our group and strengthened our hope of recovering one of the two Golden Cubes."
William smiled. "I'm glad I visited his grave. I'm sure he'd be proud that I've joined your group, Leader Aiden."
Aiden placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure he would be."
After that, the two left the cemetery. William returned to his room and Aiden headed back to his own home. That evening, while Aiden was sitting on his bed, a knock came at the door. Curious, he went to open it—and was surprised by the visitor.
It was a man he knew very well: ( Jonathan Tenny ), one of the scholars of the Archive.
"Welcome," Aiden greeted. "Would you like a cup of coffee?"
"Enough with the pleasantries, Aiden," Jonathan replied firmly. "I'm here to discuss something important."
"You're always so serious," Aiden chuckled. "Alright then—what is it?"
"He knows. The National Division is aware of your return. And rumor has it… they might be forming an alliance with the Fighter Division —against you."
Aiden's face hardened. "Don't worry. We won't be easy prey."
"Are you sure you know what you're doing, Aiden? You're putting yourself and your companions in serious danger. The National and Fighter Divisions from The Fauvism are ruthless criminals—without conscience or mercy. So let me ask you again… are you ready to face them?"
"Yes, Jonathan. This is our duty. We must fulfill it."
"But it's extremely dangerous!"
"Listen," Aiden said, his voice calm but firm. "If we step aside—and everyone else does the same—then who will take responsibility? We have the resources and the strength to claim one of the Golden Cubes."
"Even if you succeed," Jonathan countered, "you'll only get one. The other will remain with either Yossan or Murphy."
"We'll find a way to handle that when the time comes. But for now, our priority is claiming one cube."
Jonathan sighed, defeated. "I'm sorry for bothering you. I just… I knew your father and I don't want to see you walk the same dangerous path."
Aiden looked him in the eyes. "I appreciate that. But from now on, I need your support. There's no turning back now."
"...Alright. I'll try."
They shook hands before Jonathan departed.
Elsewhere, Karaido was walking home after a long day's work. But he suddenly sensed something… someone was following him. He turned—and saw Joey approaching slowly.
"What do you want from me?" Karaido asked coldly.
Joey : "Have you heard… about Caesar's death?"
"Yes. He got what he deserved."
"You two were friends, weren't you? How can you be so cold, even after his death?"
"I'm no friend to any of my colleagues. I feel nothing for them."
Joey went silent, surprised by the bluntness. Karaido continued:
"I know what you're after. According to our intel, you want revenge against Jayden Durbin. You want to kill him."
Joey's eyes darkened. "Yes. More than anything. But I don't think you'd understand how that feels."
"I don't need to understand. But I'll help you."
"Why?"
"Because I have a vested interest in bringing down Durbin—just like you. And with a bit of luck, we might even lure some of his allies and eliminate a few of them."
"Fine. I think I know how we can bait him. It's a plan Caesar shared with me before he died—something we were going to carry out together."
"Then stop wasting time and tell me everything."
"Alright."
The two walked off, deep in discussion.
Back at the Moon Division training grounds, Aiden stood alongside Milo, Melvin and Tia, observing the Kaos Team as they trained.
Milo spoke first. "Based on your analysis, what do you think of their current level, Leader?"
"They're doing well," Aiden answered. "Jayden Durbin has raw power. Tristan Danson has impressive endurance. Merrick and Chris are clever tacticians. Sony and William excel in speed. As for Clara, Salvador and Dalia—they fight skillfully despite being girls."
"Yes, I noticed that too," Milo agreed.
Tia raised an eyebrow. "But you haven't said anything about the Ribwan twins, sir. Haven't you seen them fight?"
"I have," Aiden replied. "And I have two observations."
"Two?" Tia asked, curious.
"Yes. When they fight individually, they're good. But when they fight together—they are unmatched. When united, they wield four weapons and four elements. Not only that—they can heal each other mid-battle."
"They're that strong?" Tia said in surprise.
Melvin jumped in. "We saw it ourselves. The Ribwan twins once fought as a duo against four of their comrades… and they won."
"What?! Against four… and they won?"
"Yes. You weren't there."
A short while back, before a training session, the heroes were gathered and eating sandwiches, chatting among themselves.
Tristan commented, "So… Luna and Yuna, the heirs of the legendary Reed, huh? You two don't seem nearly as powerful as he was."
Luna : "That's because Reed's power was whole—not split like ours."
Chris : "Split?"
Yuna : "Yes ,Reed had all four weapons and elements himself, along with deadly skills. But in our case, his powers were divided between the two of us."
Jayden : "So you're not as strong as him?"
"Alone, no," Yuna replied. "But together—we can take down four of you with ease."
William blinked. "Really?"
Merrick nodded. "They're not lying."
"I just can't picture a girl beating me,"
"Then picture this," Merrick smirked. "They're not ordinary girls. They're the twin heirs of Tominako Reed."
Luna grinned. "Want proof? We can show you."
Chris stepped forward. "I'd like to see your full power, too."
"Same here," said Jayden.
"Count me in," added Tristan.
Luna's eyes gleamed. "Then let's make it simple. You four—Jayden, Chris, Tristan and William—fight the two of us. See for yourselves."
"You sure?" Jayden asked. "Isn't it unfair for four guys to fight two girls?"
"It's not unfair," Merrick interjected. "Trust me."
"You really believe in them?" Chris asked.
"Of course. I'm like an older brother to them."
Yuna stepped forward. "So… are you ready?"
"Yeah," Jayden nodded.
The six prepared for battle, weapons drawn. Luna raised her hand.
"Injuries and wounds will be treated afterward using healing abilities—so don't worry."
"You won't even land a hit on me," Jayden smirked.
"Funny joke, Let's begin."
Luna launched a blazing star-shaped projectile at them. Jayden countered with a thunder-charged weapon. Yuna followed with a barrage of electrified arrows. The four blocked—but one arrow struck Jayden in the side, thanks to Luna's backing flame.
Jayden stumbled back. The battle had just begun.
Without hesitation, Luna summoned her signature weapon—a star-shaped blade—and channeled her fiery power into it. With a sharp swing, she hurled it toward Jayden and the others. Jayden quickly infused his weapon with electricity and deflected the blazing projectile just in time.
Right behind her, Yuna launched a barrage of arrows at the four men. Most of them were blocked but one arrow, powered by lightning and backed by Luna's earlier flame attack, pierced through Jayden's guard and struck his right side. He winced in pain and leapt backward to put distance between them.
The four immediately counterattacked, rushing at the twins with their weapons drawn. But Luna and Yuna vanished in an instant—using their teleportation technique to evade. Yuna reappeared and launched another wave of electrified arrows, which the men barely managed to deflect.
This time, Luna split her five-pointed star blade into five separate blades and sent four of them flying at the group, each one engulfed in fire. Again, the four defenders used their elemental weapons to parry the attacks.
Tristan then teleported high into the air and came down with his wind-charged chainsaw, aiming for Yuna. She blocked the strike with her shield. Before he could recover, Luna reappeared behind him using her teleportation, swinging her metal staff. He narrowly dodged.
Chris threw his axe at Yuna—it almost hit her—but suddenly it shattered midair. Luna had activated her Bone separator Force to protect her twin. In the blink of an eye, Yuna was standing right in front of Chris. She had used Luna's blood for instant teleportation and before he could react, she embedded one of her arrows directly into his leg.
Chris cried out in pain.
William rushed in to defend his teammate, lunging at Yuna with his spear but she used her Ice Dismantling ability to disassemble his weapon into useless shards. Luna then swooped down from above and struck William with her staff, knocking him to the ground.
Jayden charged at Luna in retaliation but suddenly, his legs began to freeze over. He quickly surged lightning through his body, melting the ice—Yuna's doing.
Despite the injury in his leg, Chris refused to back down. He attacked Yuna again with another axe. But she activated Ice Dismantling once more, shattering the weapon instantly. Then, she manipulated the arrow still stuck in his leg, forcing it deeper into the ground, anchoring his foot in place.
She placed her hand on his head.
"If this were a real battle," she said coldly, "I'd shatter your skull with Ice Dismantling. But it's not. So you're out of the game."
Chris groaned, then nodded. "Yeah… you're right."
Yuna carefully removed the arrow and healed his wound.
Now only three remained: William, Tristan and Jayden, standing against the Ribwan twins.
William shook his head. "If this were a real battle, Chris would've died for sure."
Jayden clenched his jaw. "Their strategy is to focus on one of us, eliminate him quickly and move on to the next. They'll whittle us down one by one."
Tristan nodded. "Exactly. We'll need to be extra careful from here."
Luna glanced at them and said "So… are you going to attack, or shall we?"
Jayden stepped forward. "We'll start. Don't worry."
Luna yawned theatrically. "Good. I'm getting sleepy. Fighting you is painfully boring."
"...What?" Jayden blinked.
Yuna giggled. "You heard her."
The boys' pride was stung. Jayden, William and Tristan charged at the twins, fusing their elemental powers into their weapons. Yuna countered by unleashing a stream of arrows infused with both lightning and ice. At the same time, Luna teleported behind William and struck with her staff—but he narrowly dodged her attack and countered with a thrust of his spear.
Luna tried to dismantle it using her Bone Separator Force but William managed to land a punch, knocking her to the ground. He followed with a burst of fire—but Yuna intervened, teleporting in and dousing the flames with a wave of water then slammed her shield into William, knocking him back.
Tristan used his teleportation to grab Yuna by the arm and flung her away from Luna. She hit the ground but quickly stood—and found herself face-to-face with Jayden and Tristan.
It was a reversal. The three had decided to mimic the twins' strategy—take down one of them first.
Jayden attacked Yuna with a bolt of electricity, but she blocked it with a water shield. Tristan followed with a wind-charged chainsaw but she blocked again.
Suddenly, Jayden appeared behind her, attacking again—only for Yuna to teleport above them and rain down lightning arrows. They blocked the arrows easily but then… she vanished.
A loud thud echoed across the field.
They turned—and saw William collapse. Luna and Yuna stood over him.
She had regrouped with Luna and ignored Jayden and Tristan to eliminate William.
William was out. Not dead—just defeated. Now only Jayden and Tristan remained.
From the sidelines, Chris watched the match and whispered to himself, "Now I get it… Merrick was right to trust them. Their power really is terrifying."
What followed was a fierce and calculated battle between the Ribwan twins and the remaining two.
As expected, the twins won.
It wasn't because Jayden, Tristan, Chris or William were weak—they weren't.
But Yuna and Luna operated on another level entirely.
When fighting together, each of them could use the other's blood, which allowed them to control all four elemental powers simultaneously. That meant they could draw energy from all nature—just like the legendary Heirs of the Stones.
They also wielded two unique abilities: Bone separator Force and Ice Dismantling. These powers made them nearly unstoppable.
When apart, their strength was limited. But together… they were overwhelming.
Those were the very traits and abilities of the legendary warrior Tominako Reed—passed down perfectly to his two successors.
Back in the present...
Tia turned to Aiden in awe. "I had no idea the Ribwan twins were that powerful when they fight together."
Aiden nodded proudly. "Yes. After all… they are the heirs of Tominako Reed. And we're lucky to have them on our side."
