[IRIS POV]
Healer Felix came over, a curious expression on his face.
"What do you want me to see?"
I held out both necklaces at his eye level, and watched as his mouth fell open in speechlessness. "How…"
"I don't know either," I said. "Alpha Rufus picked up this necklace from the wedding hall," I jingled the one on my left, "but this is the one I got from the strange fae in the forest." I gestured to the necklace on the right. "As far as I can tell, they are identical."
"In that case… does this mean the fae made a new necklace for you?" Healer Felix sounded as incredulous as I felt. "Why? How? This doesn't make sense!"
"This necklace is all I have left of my mother, and not many people know about it," I said, my mind racing as I quickly thought it through. "If the fae knows then… then I suspect he's actually my real father. He gave this to me because he wanted me to figure it out," I finished, my voice ending in a whisper, as though I was afraid of being overheard.
