"Did I scare you?"
His voice was light and gentle, as if he wasn't the one who had just caused all the trouble.
Erin Lowell shook her head. "No."
She had been worried something would happen to Leo Holt, afraid he'd lose his cool and do something reckless.
He grunted, then his gaze shifted, landing viciously on Leo Holt. "You looking to die?!"
"You fucking—" Leo Holt started, pointing a finger.
"Really tired of living?" Zane Jennings took off his helmet and hung it on the handlebars. He ran a hand through his hair, then swung a long leg off the bike.
He pulled Erin back, then walked straight toward Leo Holt. His voice was low, just loud enough for the two of them to hear over the surrounding noise. "Don't mess with her. Otherwise, not even nine lives will be enough to save you."
Leo Holt's face went from livid to pale. He was practically seething with an anger he didn't dare unleash. It was quite a spectacle.
Zane raised an eyebrow at him. "Still here?"
