Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: You Were My First, You Know (Bonus Chapter for 100 Power Stones)

[Yuigahama Yui's Singing Voice]

The host's singing technique will be improved. This card is part of the Yuigahama Yui set.

[Purification Card]

Can randomly remove one punishment card set from the host. Single-use card, disappears after use.

[Upgrade Card]

Randomly upgrades one already-owned card. Single-use card, disappears after use.

Mio glanced at the rewards and instantly knew what she wanted. But she didn't immediately make her choice. Instead, she took advantage of the time freeze to seriously think about how to handle this situation once time resumed.

She didn't really do anything, so why had Yuigahama Yui actually kissed her?

Sure, kissing a beautiful girl felt pretty nice, but if she didn't handle this properly, her relationship with Yui would get really awkward.

Since time was frozen, Mio had no idea how long she spent thinking until the system's impatient voice brought her back.

"Host, have you decided yet? Even with a successful task, the time freeze has limits. If you don't choose soon, I'm going to randomize it for you."

"Got it."

Mio responded casually, then directly selected the [Purification Card] as her task reward.

Though it could only randomly purify one punishment card set, for her, it would at least help deal with the consequences of task failures.

As Mio made her choice, time resumed flowing.

The two were still in a kissing position. Mio could clearly feel the softness of Yui's lips and see the nervousness in her eyes.

But before she could do anything, the shrill class bell suddenly rang.

Hearing it, Yui jumped back from Mio like she'd been electrocuted. She opened her mouth as if to explain something, but Mio just grabbed her hand and ran toward the classroom.

It wasn't until Yui returned to her seat that she snapped back to reality.

And realized exactly what she'd just done to Mio.

Earlier, she'd thought about what Mio's reaction would be if she actually kissed her, but that was just a thought. Who knew her body would lean forward on its own—just that little bit that led to their intimate contact.

Unlike the brief accidental kiss from before, this time Yui had clearly experienced what kissing actually felt like.

Though they didn't go any further, for her, it was definitely memorable.

Yui suddenly buried her face in her arms. What was she even thinking? Now wasn't the time for this—she needed to figure out how to explain things to Mio.

Feeling a bit flustered, Yui instinctively turned around to sneak a peek at Mio sitting in the back row. She could see Mio acting like nothing had happened, calmly reading her textbook.

Seeing this, Yui quietly relaxed, though with a hint of disappointment.

As if sensing Yui's gaze, Mio suddenly looked up, and their eyes met.

Before Mio could react, Yui guiltily turned back around.

Mio smiled helplessly. It was clearly her own fault, so why did Yui look like she had a guilty conscience?

The class period passed quickly. As the bell rang, it marked the start of lunch break.

Normally, Yui would immediately grab her bento and head over to Mio's desk to eat lunch together.

But this time, Yui seemed hesitant. Even after spending an entire class period thinking about it, she still hadn't come up with a good solution.

Plus, during lunch break, the popular kids all liked to gather around Mio and Miura Yumiko. She couldn't find a chance to explain!

Just as Yui was struggling with herself, Mio's clear voice suddenly rang in her ear: "Yui, why the long face?"

Hearing Mio's voice, Yui instantly tensed up. She forgot all the words she'd prepared, her mouth opening and closing without saying anything.

"It's fine, I know what you want to say. I asked you to treat me like your girlfriend, so this is my fault. If you're really hung up on it, how about I let you kiss me again?" Mio leaned close to Yui's ear and said softly.

"Eh!?"

Yui instinctively turned her head and immediately saw Mio's tempting lips. She suddenly felt an urge to actually agree.

But she quickly snapped out of it and shook her head, saying, "Y-You did say that, but if it weren't for us..."

Before Yui could finish, Mio cut her off: "If you keep going, I'm actually going to kiss you."

"Not here—there are too many people in the classroom." Yui said instinctively, completely missing that she hadn't actually rejected Mio's proposal.

Mio suddenly showed a pleased smile: "So you mean it's okay if there are fewer people around?"

"N-No, that's not what I meant." Yui, realizing her mistake, got flustered again and could barely speak properly.

"Alright, I'm just teasing. Let's just treat it like an accident, same as last time."

"O-Okay then."

Though Yui still looked a bit conflicted, she was clearly much better than before.

Mio placed her bento on the desk, then turned around and moved her chair over. She'd be eating lunch here today.

Watching Mio's calm demeanor, Yui hesitated before asking quietly, "Mio, you're the one who got kissed, so why are you so calm about it?"

"Because it's not my first time."

"Eh?"

"Did you forget, Yui? You were my first, you know~" Mio looked at Yui with resentful eyes.

Yui quickly realized Mio was talking about that previous accident, but her face still flushed red as she looked around to make sure no one had heard their conversation before whispering, "Mio, don't say things that are so easy to misunderstand!"

"Ehehe~"
