"Two more to go!"
Mio glanced down at the time on her phone. Three minutes until the end of class, and she still needed her heart to race twice more to complete the task.
This break after class would be her last chance.
She needed to somehow make her heart race twice through Yuigahama Yui within ten minutes.
For Shirai Mio, this was undoubtedly a massive challenge.
The three minutes passed quickly. As the bell rang, the teacher didn't immediately dismiss the class. Instead, after glancing at the lesson plan, he said flatly, "There's a bit more content to cover. I'll just need three more minutes of your time."
Hearing those familiar words, Mio nearly lost it.
It even made her recall the fear of being dominated by teachers back before her reincarnation.
But even so, Mio didn't waste these three minutes.
Having been an actress before her transmigration, she had serious acting talent and could get into character easily. So she planned to use method acting to give herself the setting of having a crush on Yuigahama Yui. That way, her heart should race more easily.

Another three minutes passed. Under Mio's eager anticipation, the teacher finally finished the last bit of content and dismissed the class.
Mio immediately went to Yuigahama Yui's side and said quietly, "Y-Yui, can you help me with something?"
"Sure, what do you need me to do?"
Looking at Mio, Yui couldn't tell if it was just her imagination, but something about Mio seemed a bit different right now. Though she couldn't quite put her finger on what exactly was different.
"There are too many people here. Come outside with me for a sec. It won't take long."

Mio pulled Yui out of the classroom and found a corner with no one around.
After making sure no one was nearby, Mio finally spoke: "So, um... Yui, could you pretend to be my lover? Just until class starts. Or if you have some other way to make my heart race, that works too."
"Eh!?"
Yui had been wondering what kind of favor Mio would ask. After hearing those words, her expression suddenly became rather complicated.
She remembered Mio had mentioned writing a novel before and even asked for her help gathering material. Could this be for the novel again—asking her to play the lover role?
While that explanation made sense, wasn't there also a possibility that Mio had some unspeakable reason and was using it as an excuse?
Like... maybe Mio liked her but couldn't say it out loud.
Though this idea seemed absurd, Yui's face still flushed red.
"Um, is this for gathering material for your novel?"

Mio thought for a moment, then said, "Just treat me like I'm your girlfriend. You can do whatever you want~"
She understood Yui pretty well. Even with permission like that, knowing Yui's personality, she probably wouldn't actually do anything weird.
Hearing that, Yui—who hadn't planned on doing anything—suddenly remembered all the times Mio had teased her. She hesitated, then slowly moved closer to Mio.
Watching Yui suddenly approach, Mio instinctively took a step back, only to feel the solid wall behind her.
"Yui?"
"You're the one who just told me I could do whatever I wanted~" Yui placed her hand against the wall next to Mio's ear, giving her a kabedon.
If Mio wasn't mistaken, this was her first time being wall-pinned by Yuigahama Yui.
Wait, that wasn't the point right now. The point was—why did Yui suddenly turn so aggressive?
Seeing Mio's slightly flustered expression, Yui smiled smugly to herself. She rarely got to see Mio like this, and it even made her want to lean in even closer.
If she kissed her right now... what kind of expression would Mio make?
The thought suddenly appeared in Yui's mind.
But reason made her stop about ten centimeters away from Mio.

Would it really be okay to just kiss her like this?

Yui's gaze fell on Mio's lips, and that accidental kiss from before surfaced in her mind again.
They'd already kissed once by accident anyway. Doing it again shouldn't be a problem, right? Plus, Mio had asked for her help, and they were both girls.
As Mio focused on building up her emotions, she suddenly felt something soft touch her lips. She instinctively opened her eyes and immediately saw Yui's beautiful face, tense with nervousness.
Mio had never imagined Yui would actually go through with it.
Before she could react, time suddenly stopped flowing. The system's voice rang in her ear, full of glee: "Congratulations on completing the task, host! You've also gained one kiss. Yuigahama Yui's conquest rating of the host has increased by 4 points. Please select your reward."
