Faye looked over at Sean with a slight smile. "Now, we plant the salvation of the Goddess Anastasia." Faye looked into her coat pocket, and she opened a small bag with a seed in it. She placed the see into the dirt, which was yellow in hue. The seed then dissolved and disappeared into the ground.
"What happened?" Melody asked.
"The seed is now planted in his heart, and he can never be taken over by a demon again unless he rebukes Anastasia and her teachings. The fact that we freed him from the enemy and we planted to see salvation in his mind, he is more likely to live a whole life without fear of ever being possessed again." Percy smiled and put up his thumb as he looked up at the sky. "We should get going then, Faye, if you will."
Faye nodded, and when she put out her hand, a bright light appeared, revealing a door to the child's room. "After you, everyone," Faye said.
Sean, once again amazed by the power of the advanced Dreamweaver, stepped through the door, and he was back in the child's room.
Melody, Percy, and Faye followed and closed the door. They were looking over the child, who had a slight smile on his face.
"Our job is done. Let's go." Percy approached the window and stepped through it, landing on the roof of the house.
Sean looked at the child. He had always been fond of children and often volunteered at homeless shelters. He stopped years ago after people said he touched a child inappropriately. It was a slip of the hand; he thought to himself, how could they blame me for an accident? No child should ever have to struggle like this. Sean balled up his fist, and he walked through the window after Melody.
"Let's go home," Percy said.
"How do we get back?" Sean inquired.
"Well, look over there," Percy pointed.
Sean stared across the street toward a bridge. He observed a beam of light, but it was rotating slowly in a whirlwind. It went all the way up into the clouds and into the sky. "What exactly is it?" He inquired.
"It's a spiritual jet stream," Faye said. "Spiritual beings can ride through it. There have been times where demons try to get in there."
Percy nodded in agreeance. "Thankfully, we are covered by the energy from the Goddess Anastasia. So, all of the weaker demons can't harm us. Many of the stronger ones are focused on keeping their strongholds, so most of the time, we don't have to worry about demons trying to reach us, but we must always be cautious and make sure we're not followed. At times jet streams do change rather quick since the balance of spiritual energy flowing throughout the earth is both good and evil."
"Let's go." She jumped across the rooftop to the other house. Percy followed, and so did Melody, jumping across 20-foot gaps toward the bridge, which seemed to be two to three miles away.
"Here goes nothing," Sean said. "I feel so alive." Sean ran forward, the moonlight illuminating his way. He jumped over the 20-foot gap with his arms wide open. "Man, this is awesome." He ran forward again, jumped over a 10-foot hole in a 15-foot gap until he reached the others on the other side, and the bridge was right in front of them.
"I feel so alive," Sean said with an enthusiastic tone. "For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm part of a group. I feel like I have a purpose. It feels right." Sean said, looking at the moonlight.
"Ah, I like what you're saying, but you know that you need to work harder." Faye walked up and punched Sean in the shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll get better, kid."
Percy smiled back at him as he took a giant leap near the edge of the bridge. "Come on, everybody. Sean, you can make it too."
Sean watched the other two jump in front of the home, a 40-foot gap over the water. I can do this. I can. Sean closed his eyes right before he opened him. He thought of Tabatha and her love for him. He ran forward, and he crossed the gap, barely making it. Melody caught his hands before he fell back into the water meters below.
"That was a pretty good jump," Melody chirped.
Sean thanked her and looked up at the top of the bridge where the steel bar was connected. It looked like gold dust and energy. It was miraculous to look at. He wanted to stare at it for hours but knew he had to step into it, which was terrifying because it would result in him being dramatically lifted up into the air, which has happened way too many times.
"All right, let's go, y'all," Percy said. Percy ran up the steel bar. He jumped in, followed by Faye and then Melody.
"Here goes nothing," Sean said as he started to run. As he jumped, he felt something pierce his arm. Aghhh!
"Sean!" Melody screamed reaching out her hand as the golden whirlwind disappeared up into the sky.
