"I know," Sean said, "but we have no weapons."
"Hold on, I may try to do this. Give me a second." Melody closed her eyes. She put her hands together, chanting a prayer.
Sean looked at her and noticed something starting to form in between her hands. What is she doing?
Melody chanted for a few seconds more then something popped into her hands.
"A revolver," Sean said as he looked at Melody holding a pistol with six bullets. It didn't look like regular bullets to Sean. They were red in color with a dragon print on each one.
"How did you learn to do that?" Sean asked her.
"My Guardian Angel has been teaching me how to harness my mana. It's hard work, especially after a long day at the post office. I've been working and trying hard to create a revolver." She took the pistol, put in the six bullets. "I will try to shoot the door, so you can get in."
Sean felt worthless as he looked at Percy and Faye attacking the house. He looked over at Melody. I really have nothing to offer. I can't go punch the house. What can I do? What can I offer?
"Get out the way, everyone," Melody yelled, "I'm going to blow the door open."
Faye looked back and ran, dodging to the right of the enormous fist that was slamming into the ground next to her.
Here goes nothing! She pointed her revolver at the front door and pulled the trigger. Boom boom. Two shots rang as the house leaped to the left. A bullet hit the door and caused a massive explosion sending wood across the meadow.
That was smart; it's like a scene from a movie. This is crazy. This is happening in the real world. I wonder if I was ever possessed. Sean's feet wanted to move, but he had nothing to offer.
Two more shots rained out from Melody's revolver. Boom boom! They hit the front window shattering it into a million pieces.
Percy looked back, his face grimacing in pain.
The house swayed back and forth, and then it eventually tumbled toward the ground.
Sean started to run forward without even realizing what he was doing. I have to do something; I have to contribute. Sean ran to the front of the door, unaware of the danger he put himself in.
"Don't do that, you stupid idiot," Faye yelled, running toward the door.
"Good work," Percy yelled, looking back at Melody, giving her a thumbs-up.
Who am I looking for? The walls were gray in color, and there were distortions everywhere. The paintings on the wall spoke to him, saying hateful things about who he was and why he was there and that he should kill himself and no one in the spiritual realm was worth saving. Samantha, be with me.
Sean walked to the back of the house, running up a flight of stairs moving at a fast pace. He leaped up the wall, gripping his hands into the wood. Ouch. Pulling himself up the wooden wall, he saw a door before him with a purple hue surrounding it. That has to be it. Taking his hands, he brushed off his suit and straightened his tie. Turning the door knob slowly, his eyes fell on the dark shadow of an overweight man. "So, you're a demon," Sean said, putting his knuckles together.
"Foolish Dreamweaver, you are nothing but a swine. You can't defeat me," the obese man said.
Sean was scared. There was a black shadow coming out of the stubby demon staring at him, its eyes yellow and its tongue red.
Sean shifted his gaze to the left, where he saw a small child, no more than five years old, lying on the floor. His whole body was trembling and convulsing.
Sean clenched his fist as he ran forward, slamming it into the man's face. All he could do was continue to hit the demon's face over and over. "You have no right to do this to a young child!"
Sean felt his body slam back into the door. The demon hissed and jumped out of the window nearby.
Damn it! Sean pushed his hands into the ground, lifting himself up. He darted toward the window then saw the demon fall to the ground.
Percy was standing above the demon, his sword covered in blood. The demon disintegrated into thin air. The house slowly started to disappear.
This is going to hurt! Sean looked down at the ground, which was becoming visible through the wooden floor. What is this! Sean felt a pleasant sensation spread across his whole body. The home vanished in an instant, leaving him encircled by a bright light.
Percy winked at Sean as both of them slowly floated to the ground as the bright light disappeared around the two male Dreamweavers.
"Thank you for freeing me," the child said. "I can now live free without fear of my parents judging me. I've been so worried about myself, but I couldn't wake up. I forced myself into a coma with fear. Before I knew it, the demon had taken over my heart and my mind, and I could not do anything about it. Thank you for saving me."
As the youngster launched into the air, a dazzling light engulfed the whole area surrounding them. A child's utopia, with toys filling the space with delight laid before them.
Melody looked up at the clouds; her cheeks flared red. This is the ideal image of a relaxing night's sleep. I'm so happy this child has found some sort of peace. I lived in such fear. And now, to see the demon or demons threaten this child's existence brings everything full circle.Hopefully, I can find peace as well.
"This is what dreams look like," Percy said. "Without a demon's influence, a human is supposed to dream good dreams. But so many humans live in a pit of depression, and it's our job to bring them out of it. Take note of this, Sean and Melody. This is your path to salvation and heals the heart, but it offers you a better understanding of what it means to reflect on your human existence from a higher viewpoint."
Sean nodded; standing in awe at the beauty around him, he noticed the tree that was weeping a while ago. It was adorned with an abundance of bright red apples. However, he was aware that they would require time to mature before he could harvest them. They have been in the dreamscape for some time, and as much as he wanted to go, he didn't want to get lectured by Percy or kicked by Faye and her amazing acrobatic legs.
"Whats our next move," Sean said.
