On the battlefield.
Hela stopped healing for the moment, staring at Karl with a deathly glare.
She hadn't expected it.
Her trump card—something she had been saving as her last resort—hadn't even lasted a single exchange. Karl had erased it with one move, instantly.
That kind of power was simply too outrageous.
And on top of the Law of Force…
This brat had deliberately comprehended the Law of Light, too?
Was he doing this on purpose—targeting her?
Hela's expression turned icy to the extreme.
She hadn't expected the mage in front of her to be so monstrously gifted—comprehending two Laws.
And more than that…
He moved as though he had been born a god.
When it came to Laws, he wielded them like an extension of his own arm.
He merged into them with effortless ease.
How was that even possible?
Hela took a slow breath.
She realized this time, she would have to fight to the death.
If Karl escaped today, then the next time he came back…
She might not be his match anymore.
The power around Hela abruptly vanished, and she began circling Karl.
"Midgardian, I admit it—you are the most talented opponent I've faced in a thousand years."
"Even I, back then… may not have matched you."
"Comprehending two Laws in succession—given a Midgardian's pitiful lifespan and meager aptitude—this is nothing short of a miracle."
"Even in the ancient era, you would have been called exceptionally gifted."
"But it is also because of that…"
"Having comprehended two Laws, you're fated to achieve nothing."
"Let alone the fact that you've met me!"
Hela spoke.
Then her terrifying power erupted.
Half the sky was dyed green.
A wretched, dread-inducing Deathly Power burst forth, sending a chill straight into the bones.
"Asgard is my home ground."
"Here, no one can truly defeat me!"
"In Asgard, I am a god!"
"Midgardian, you do have talent—but have you ever understood this? A trump card is not an existing skill that can be used together at will!"
Her body seemed to swell, expanding into a giant.
Her voice became vast and low, echoing across a radius of a kilometer, sounding terrifying beyond measure.
Her aura also grew immeasurably grand.
In an instant, her power jumped several tiers.
"Who's the one borrowing Asgard's power?"
"You Asgardians really are favored by heaven and earth."
Karl couldn't help but sigh.
If Hela weren't on Asgard, she likely wouldn't even have half the power she had right now.
Asgard—this planet was uniquely blessed.
The towering World Tree… ancient gods… they had forged miracle after miracle across the ages.
Nearly endless power poured in from the void, injecting itself into Hela's body.
Now…
Her Deathly Power could be said to be inexhaustible.
"Now that you understand, it's already too late!"
"Do you think I was doing nothing just now?"
"I was establishing communion with this world's consciousness!"
"The might and grandeur of the Nine Realms is something a lowly Midgardian like you will never understand!"
Hela spoke with absolute arrogance.
"Borrowing external power—so that's what you're best at."
"So this is the pride of a 'Goddess of Death'?"
"How laughable."
Karl replied calmly.
But that single line seemed to strike a nerve. Hela's expression instantly changed.
"Brat, you're courting death!"
Hela said coldly.
Inside, her fury was already boiling over.
"Hand of Glory!"
Hela shouted.
A green radiance surged out from the void.
Without hesitation, she drove that overwhelming power straight at Karl.
A pale-green beam, dozens of meters thick, shot directly toward him.
The energy inside it raged like a world-swallowing tsunami—vast, violent, and surging.
For a moment…
Even the surrounding air seemed to roar with the sound of great rivers flooding and crashing.
On the ground, Thor and Loki both went pale.
If an attack like that hit them, where would there be any chance of survival?
But they didn't see it.
With just a casual sweep of Karl's hand, an enormous golden Portal opened in front of him.
Seeing that, Hela laughed.
"You're really that naive."
"You'll be torn into pieces by the raging spatial force."
Hela snarled viciously.
Her power erupted again.
In an instant, the already-torrential stream of energy swelled even further.
Karl's face still showed no tension at all.
"You're a Death Goddess—what do you know about space?"
"Kamar-Taj's greatest specialty is spatial magic!"
Karl's voice remained flat.
Even with that energy roaring forward, it still couldn't shake the massive golden portal behind the unstable passage.
"What kind of joke is this?!"
Hela's eyes widened violently.
With energy fluctuations this terrifying, he could still use spatial magic?
What kind of monster was this brat?
She had pried up the power of all Asgard itself!
Under that kind of pressure, all magic should have been crushed by an absolute field.
Even space should have been no exception.
Unless…
This brat's understanding of space far exceeded ordinary comprehension—
so much so that even this massive power couldn't budge it.
But…
How old was he?
How could he be this absurd?
"I don't believe it!"
"I don't believe someone can be this freakish!"
Hela gritted her teeth.
The veins on her forehead bulged—she was clearly pushing herself to the limit.
Under her control…
That colossal green power abruptly reshaped into a giant hand, reaching out to crush Karl.
Even from over a hundred meters away, Karl could feel the suffocating pressure.
It was as if space itself were being pinched and shattered by that enormous force.
"Hand of Glory…"
"Name fits the reality. But it's still not enough."
"Your power really is immense, but your use of it is far too crude."
Karl shook his head.
Yes.
Absolute power could solve most problems.
But…
When two sides stood on the same tier of power…
Technique became decisive.
Hela's combat technique was something Karl wouldn't dare belittle.
After all, she had carved her way out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood. Every technique she possessed existed for two words:
Killing.
But when it came to competing in control and refinement of power—
Sorry.
Hela was nowhere near his level.
He could see her strain.
He could see the weakness in this move.
Karl made no unnecessary motion.
He merely raised his hand slightly.
A speck of golden light appeared.
In the next instant—
That green giant hand collapsed.
Just like that, it crumbled.
Its power turned into disordered energy, spilling and surging around them.
"That's impossible!"
Hela screamed.
Her face no longer held even a trace of earlier coldness—it twisted into something violently distorted.
