"You think I'm working for Henri?" she snapped, her voice cold despite the tremor beneath it. "Fine. Believe whatever you want."
She moved again, but he stepped in front of her, blocking her path.
"What. Did. You. See?" he ground out, each word sharp with restrained fury.
She took a step back, her vision blurring as tears filled her eyes.
"N-none of your business," she choked out.
Pushing past him with what little strength she had left, she ran out of the room.

He didn't stop her.
He just stood there, watching her disappear, his jaw tightening.
