Chairman's Office.
Right in front of Narumori, sat someone.
That person was none other than his teacher, Atsuomi.
The man had the same hair color as Kiyotaka, with a bit of beard on his chin. He looked at Narumori from a superior position and commanded.
"Call Kiyotaka here to talk with me."
Narumori felt helpless, but he could only comply with that order. After all, that man was Kiyotaka's biological father. As the school's Chairman, he had no authority to interfere in other people's family affairs.
Narumori then made an announcement through the school broadcast.
"To the student named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka from first-year Class C, please come immediately to the Chairman's office."
Kiyotaka, who was attending class, furrowed his brow slightly. It seemed he already understood something, then stood up to head to the Chairman's office.
"What should come... has finally come. I can only think of ways to deal with it..."
Kiyotaka had been confined in the White Room since childhood, a place no different from a prison. All day long he only faced researchers in white coats, or unfortunate people with the same fate as him.
There, he acquired knowledge and experience far beyond his peers, but that wasn't the life he wanted. What he wanted was a normal person's life.
That's why he escaped...
At the sacrifice of his best friend, Matsuo Eiichiro—the only person capable of keeping pace with him. To escape his father's control, he came to Advanced Nurturing High School.
This school's popularity was second only to Shuchi'in Academy. Because of that, his father couldn't easily interfere with affairs at this school.
Initially he thought he could spend a few years peacefully, but unexpectedly his father had found him this quickly.
Kiyotaka had already guessed that the visitor was most likely his father, and he had fully prepared himself. Anyone who dared disturb his peace, even if it was his own father, he wouldn't show mercy.
And the only key to escape this situation was Ryunosuke.
Kiyotaka's gaze appeared gloomy and hard to read; no one knew what he was thinking.
He arrived at the Chairman's office and pushed the door with both hands. The figure greeting him was indeed his father.
Kiyotaka let out a long sigh. He walked closer with a calm gaze without uttering a single greeting, then pulled out a chair and sat down. He immediately asked the Chairman beside him.
"This isn't what we agreed on... You said this place was very safe, and I could spend three years here peacefully..."
Narumori adjusted his light-reflecting glasses on his face, then showed a polite but formal smile.
"It should have been... Unfortunately, your father came to visit earlier than expected, which really caught me off guard."
"I'm sorry, Kiyotaka. I can't guarantee full protection for you."
Kiyotaka let out another long sigh, completely ignoring his father's figure whose face was beginning to darken with annoyance. He continued talking with Narumori.
"That's not your fault. Who told my bastard father to come without giving notice first."
"In my opinion, someone like him should rot in prison. If only I had evidence in hand, I'd throw him in there myself."
Hearing that, Atsuomi sitting beside him couldn't hold back his cynical laugh.
"Hahaha~ You really are my filial son, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka deliberately opened his mouth slightly, showing an expression of great surprise.
"Oh, so you're here...?"
Although he tried hard to act surprised, because his face remained flat without expression, it actually gave a very half-hearted impression. Well, in reality he was indeed being half-hearted.
Atsuomi laughed from sheer anger at this "filial" son of his. He clapped slowly while showing an enigmatic expression.
"At this school, it seems you haven't learned anything else, but your mouth has become much more skilled. Who did you learn from?"
Kiyotaka answered honestly. "Akasaka Ryunosuke taught me."
"Akasaka? Who's that?" Atsuomi asked in confusion. After all, someone his son could remember must have something special.
Kiyotaka's eyes sparkled slightly.
Meanwhile in class, Ryunosuke who was holding a textbook suddenly got goosebumps for no reason. He felt an aura of deep resentment, but didn't know where it came from.
On the other side, Kiyotaka said something that almost stunned his father.
"Akasaka... he is a genius who surpasses me in every field."
"Even the sole heir of the Koenji Conglomerate, one of three of the four major conglomerate families, willingly obeys his commands."
What he meant was when Ryunosuke threatened Koenji to help him three times.
"Oh, just to remind you, I'm the same. I obey Akasaka's orders."
Kiyotaka didn't forget to add fuel to the fire, describing Ryunosuke as awesomely as possible—as if he were an incredibly extraordinary figure.
Regarding the matter later if Ryunosuke realized this and confronted him... That could be thought about later.
He was confident that as long as he apologized sincerely, Ryunosuke wouldn't make things difficult for him. After all, they were "good friends" bound by life and death—the kind of good friends who could be [betrayed/sold out] for self-interest...
