The watch Senku had given him filled the car with sharp, steady beeping, cutting through the quiet between them.
Sebastian was behind the wheel, his eyes on the road as Psikh sat in the passenger seat, staring at the device in his hand. Yakov rode ahead in a convoy, his heavy bike roaring through the pre-dawn dark.
"You've been too hard on her. Just because she's not like other women doesn't mean she can handle everything alone-"
"Stop lecturing me. I'm protecting her, Sebastian." Psikh cut him off, leaning his head against the window and letting his gaze drift to the trees passing by in blurs of shadow and gray.
"Well, my dear boss, I'm just concerned about y-"
