Kade's expression hardened slightly. "Nothing leaves this village without my permission. If you find something that appears insignificant, report it anyway."
The commander bowed before turning toward the waiting Shadow Guards. "Divide into teams. Begin the search immediately."
The guards dispersed at once, moving through the village in organized groups.
Several entered the surrounding homes and storage buildings, while others headed toward the older structures near the edge of the settlement.
One team disappeared along the narrow trails leading into the forest, carefully examining the ground and surrounding vegetation for signs of hidden paths, while another began searching the old shrines and weathered stone structures scattered throughout the village.
Kade watched them spread out before turning his attention toward the villagers gathered outside the meeting hall.
"Bring them to me."
