"Keep the Shadow Guards out of sight until I give the order."
Ryker nodded, waiting for the rest of his instructions. Kade's expression remained completely unreadable as he set the tablet down on the table.
"Use the Nightshade mist."
A brief silence followed, but Ryker understood the order immediately. The medicinal herb had been used by Nightshade for years, and when prepared in a concentrated form, its effects were far more powerful than those of the ordinary medicinal mixture. Once dispersed over an area, the mist would settle onto the bodies of the affected wolves, gradually weakening their muscles and dulling their senses until even their enhanced strength became difficult to control.
"Understood."
"Have Amelia prepare it."
"How much?"
Kade didn't even hesitate. "Enough for the entire village."
Ryker gave a slow nod, already understanding the scale of what Kade intended.
"And after they go down?"
"Send the Shadow Guards in."
