Lex took a deep breath as he stared at the devastation Clark had left behind.
"Damn it."
He turned to Axel.
"This truly isn't power a human should possess. I think even Hermes from mythology would only be around Clark's level.
Axel, if you didn't exist, I have no idea how worried I'd be about someone like Clark.
I would probably do everything in my power to defeat him, even kill him if necessary, just to prove the superiority of humanity.
Thankfully, that's unnecessary now, because you're far stronger than Clark. Unlike him, you're an actual human. He only resembles one."
After speaking, the tipsy Lex took another drink.
Clark, who was wiping his sword in the distance, immediately frowned.
"Hey, Lex, you do realize I can hear you, right?
Do you always talk like that right in front of your friends?"
"Hahaha, those words were meant for you.
It's precisely because we're friends now that I'm telling you... Ugh!"
Before Lex could finish, he suddenly bent over and vomited.
Axel immediately waved his hand, using telekinesis to launch the vomit into the distant mountains.
Lex stared blankly at the sight before grabbing Axel's arm.
"You're a good friend, Axel. At least for now, meeting you has been the greatest gain of my life.
Damn it, it's been far too long since I drank this much, but this feeling is incredible.
You may not believe me, but my mind is perfectly clear. My intelligence is still intact.
It's just that my body isn't used to this."
"Mmm hmm, your intelligence is definitely still there.
So kneeling on the ground was also a decision made by that extraordinary intellect?"
Axel looked at Lex in amusement.
Lex paused.
"Why did you get taller, Axel?"
"You're completely drunk..."
Chuckling, Axel helped Lex to his feet and sat him against a nearby wall.
While Axel dealt with Lex, Bruce finished wiping his sword and returned with everyone else.
Holding the blade in one hand, he looked at Lex with disapproval.
"Axel, Lex and I still have an experiment to conduct tonight, but in his current state, that's obviously impossible."
"Bruce, don't think about work all the time.
Just because you hate resting doesn't mean everyone else has to hate it too."
Axel casually wrapped an arm around Bruce's shoulders and laughed.
"Forget work for today.
I can already tell you haven't had nearly enough to drink. We'll continue later, Buddy."
"Exactly, brave knight. Even monster hunters need time to rest, and so do you, my dear."
From the tower balcony, the Lady of the Lake leaned over and waved at Bruce.
Bruce looked up and immediately saw a very distracting view.
"Gulp."
He swallowed before leaning closer to Axel.
"Axel, is this goddess always like this?"
"Of course. Why, do you like her?
If you do, go court her. Maybe you'll get the chance to sleep with a goddess.
We're all just having fun. She's my admirer, not my wife, so I don't mind."
Axel laughed and patted Bruce's shoulder.
Bruce immediately shook his head.
"No, I'm not interested in the goddess, at least not right now.
What interests me more is how those black armored soldiers travel between worlds.
I want to understand the principles behind it.
No more talking. I need to return and create a simulation model for interdimensional teleportation.
Even if I can't solve it immediately, I can at least begin a research plan."
"What the hell? You're trying to run away?
Don't be ridiculous, Buddy. Look around. Who exactly is going to let you leave?"
Axel turned Bruce toward everyone else.
Floyd and Victor immediately grinned.
"You haven't had enough to drink yet, Bruce. Don't think you can escape."
"Exactly. It's rare for you to drink actual alcohol.
If we don't get you as drunk as Lex tonight, you're not going back to Rachel's arms."
Bruce swallowed and looked toward Alfred, who was returning with his sword.
Seeing Bruce's pleading gaze, Alfred grinned.
"Bruce, we've never properly shared a drink together.
How about today? Relax a little and keep an old man company."
"I..."
Bruce could only nod.
Seeing that, the Lady of the Lake smiled from above.
"That's right, warrior from another world.
Wait there. I'll bring my sisters down to join you.
Tonight is meant to be a relaxing evening."
She gracefully walked to the edge of the hot spring and looked at the women.
"My dear sisters from another world, have you finished bathing?"
"Of course. I originally intended to soak my feet, but now I almost feel weak from staying in so long."
Selina climbed out of the spring.
Beside her, Zatanna held onto her arm and followed.
Ciri had already been waiting outside and helped them get dressed.
As for Triss and the Lady of the Lake, their clothing appeared instantly.
By the time they descended the stairs, the men were already seated in the banquet hall, drinking happily.
Battles and beautiful women both had a way of raising a man's adrenaline.
Although today's battle couldn't compare to the destruction in Washington, the medieval battlefield atmosphere was a completely different experience.
Everyone had enjoyed it immensely.
The Lady of the Lake smiled and sat opposite Axel at the long table.
Selina naturally sat to Axel's left and raised one foot.
"My lord, the goddess gave me these boots.
They make my footsteps completely silent and leave no footprints."
"Is that so? That's pretty useful.
Although compared to the boots, I still prefer the feet inside them."
Axel grabbed Selina's calf and gently massaged it.
Meanwhile, Triss was about to sit on Axel's right when Ciri nudged her aside and took the seat herself.
She quickly spoke.
"Axel, thank you so much. I really didn't expect the Wild Hunt problem to be solved so easily.
You have no idea how long they've been chasing me.
Back in Aen Elle, Eredin even wanted King Auberon to force himself on me."
"What?"
Bruce and the others immediately looked over.
Modern society had zero tolerance for that kind of crime.
Seeing everyone's reaction, Ciri spread her hands.
"Yes, you heard correctly.
I was nearly forced into it.
They stripped me naked and tied me to Auberon's bed like a turkey.
But surprisingly, the King of the Wild Hunt was an extreme racist who utterly despised humans.
Even though I spent three nights in his room, he couldn't perform at all."
A mixture of disbelief and annoyance appeared on her face.
Clark, being a Witcher fan, already knew the story.
Most of the others listened attentively.
Zatanna asked with concern,
"What happened afterward? How did you escape?"
Ciri burst into laughter.
"Because Auberon couldn't perform, but the Aen Elle elves desperately needed an Elder Blood heir, Eredin gave him an aphrodisiac.
Unfortunately, he gave him too much.
Auberon literally died because of it.
Then Avallac'h helped me escape."
Everyone burst into laughter.
Ciri continued.
"If I'm not mistaken, the Wild Hunt navigator who attacked Kaer Morhen today was Caranthir.
After he died, they lost another key navigator.
Imlerith and Eredin probably won't dare enter our world anytime soon.
Without someone like Caranthir, who possesses part of the Elder Blood, they can only travel through ancient portals or use astral projections.
Ancient portals are fixed locations and easy to ambush.
As for astral projections, they're much weaker than their real bodies.
So for at least several years, I won't have to worry about the Wild Hunt anymore."
Laughing happily, Ciri suddenly wrapped her arms around Axel and kissed him.
She kissed him so enthusiastically that she pushed him into Selina's arms.
Watching the scene, Zatanna bit her lip.
She even used her tongue.
Nearby, Triss smiled warmly.
That little girl from back then had truly grown up.
Applause and cheers erupted around them.
After more than a minute, Ciri finally pulled away and gave Selina a thumbs up.
"Selina, your man is really delicious."
"Mmm hmm, right?
But I also know you're pretty delicious too.
Maybe we should try something together someday."
Selina gently stroked Ciri's cheek.
Annoyed, Axel slapped her hand away.
"Damn it, the world's really gone mad.
The two of you sound like nobles from ancient times discussing how to trade lovers."
"Haha, don't complain so much. You're the one benefiting from it."
Selina laughed and leaned against Axel.
Ciri suddenly sighed.
"When I have time in the future, I'll visit your world and maybe bring some guests.
But... if only Geralt and Yennefer could see this."
She was about to ask for something when the three Witchers from the School of the Wolf stood up simultaneously.
They walked before Axel and the Lady of the Lake and knelt.
Vesemir spoke solemnly.
"We originally intended to beg both of you.
Please, in your benevolence, bring Geralt and Yennefer back.
They've done foolish things over the years, but they are heroes.
They shouldn't have met such an end, especially dying dishonorably at the hands of peasants armed with pitchforks."
He paused before raising his head.
"If reviving them requires a price, I am willing to offer my own life."
"Hold on, old man."
Axel interrupted him.
Leaning back in his chair, he said leisurely,
"It's pointless asking me because I'm not actually a god.
I don't possess divine powers like resurrection.
I'm just an ordinary human who happens to be much stronger than gods."
Floyd and the others immediately rolled their eyes.
Ignoring them, Axel turned toward the Lady of the Lake.
"Goddess, it's your turn now.
Geralt and Yennefer are destined to return anyway, so what's a few years earlier?"
"No problem."
The Lady of the Lake nodded.
"Geralt is actually one of my favorite knights.
Even if nobody asked, I would've eventually revived both of them.
However, I first need to retrieve their bodies from Avalon.
That will take approximately half a month..."
"What did you say?"
Before she could finish, Axel casually gestured.
Instantly, Geralt and Yennefer's bodies appeared between the tables.
The Lady of the Lake froze.
After a long silence, she slowly raised her head.
"Axel, are you absolutely sure you're not a god?"
"Don't dwell on it, sister.
Just revive these two Buddies.
I'm still waiting to share a proper drink with them before taking everyone back home for a long sleep."
Axel patted her shoulder.
The Lady of the Lake sighed and nodded.
"I understand.
I'll bring both of them back from the realm of Death right now."
