"Your dragon?"
Clark pulled back in surprise as he stared at the Celestial Wyvern in front of him.
Now that it had the opportunity to show off, the Celestial Wyvern behaved remarkably well. It dove straight into the Wild Hunt forces surrounding it, tearing through them with claw strikes, bites, and sweeping attacks.
After confirming that the Celestial Wyvern was attacking the enemy, Clark rubbed the back of his head.
"Good thing you stopped me, or I really would have smashed it.
It's a good thing I didn't kill such a handsome dragon. Where did you even find such an obedient and impressive dragon? Can I go catch one someday?"
"That would require visiting another world. If we get the chance, I'll take you there."
Axel smiled as he released Clark's wrist.
At the same time, not far away, Bruce raised his hand and caught the sword Vesemir threw toward him.
After feeling its weight, Bruce gripped the silver sword with both hands and charged toward the Wild Hunt with a stoic expression.
Seeing Bruce's pace, Vesemir shouted worriedly.
"Buddy, that's a sword I used over a hundred years ago. It's not anything special, so don't let it give you false confidence.
You look like an ordinary person. It's best not to join this battle.
We have gods here, and we Witchers are still standing. It hasn't reached the point where mortals need to sacrifice themselves!"
"It has nothing to do with that!"
Bruce shouted back from a distance.
"Gods are gods. Their power belongs to them.
What I pursue is my own path.
No one will harm the people around me while I'm standing here.
Especially when these enemies aren't even human!"
The moment he finished speaking, he met a Wild Hunt soldier head on.
In Vesemir's eyes, Bruce displayed masterful swordsmanship. His blade slipped past the enemy's longsword before he pivoted and drove the sword precisely into the gap near the soldier's neck armor.
Thud!
Bruce's arms trembled.
It felt as though he had stabbed through the hide of an old rhinoceros rather than flesh.
But even if the enemy was difficult to cut, his will only pushed him harder.
Gritting his teeth, he pulled with all his strength. After a brief struggle, the old sword finally broke through the Wild Hunt's magical defenses and pierced through the enemy's neck.
The next instant, Bruce twisted the blade horizontally.
The Wild Hunt soldier's head fell to the ground.
Looking at it, Bruce coldly said,
"The enemies truly aren't human."
"Yes, yes, they're definitely not human, but honestly, I think you're even less human than they are, Buddy!"
Lex shouted while swaying slightly and hiding behind Axel.
He looked completely relaxed.
Bruce shot him a glance.
"After drinking the Witchers' wine, how are you so comfortable hiding behind Axel and everyone else?"
"Bruce, I'm a scholar and a mech operator, not a ninja or a lunatic like you.
I believe that if Axel wants to, he can easily deal with these enemies.
I also believe that staying healthy is far more useful than getting injured during an adventure."
He then smiled at Axel.
"Isn't that right, Axel?"
"Of course. Not everyone is a weirdo like Bruce."
"Exactly. He's a pretentious weirdo who always talks about being rational."
Lex chuckled before finding a comfortable spot nearby and sitting down.
His physical condition was average, and his alcohol tolerance wasn't much better. At this point, fighting was completely out of the question.
Seeing Lex so relaxed, Bruce exhaled in annoyance.
Truthfully, Bruce greatly admired Lex's intelligence and rationality.
But just as Lex disliked Bruce's obsession with Gotham and his tendency to act overly serious, Bruce disliked Lex's complete reliance on technology and external tools, never bothering to push his own limits.
Still, they were friends.
Bruce could overlook such disagreements.
Since Lex refused to fight, Bruce would simply kill a few extra enemies on his behalf.
With that thought, Bruce plunged into battle like a tiger among wolves, cutting through the surrounding Wild Hunt.
On top of the tower, the Lady of the Lake watched Bruce's movements and pursed her lips.
"What an exceptional knight.
He's clearly mortal, yet his will and skill have surpassed what mortals should be capable of."
She then turned toward Selina and Zatanna.
"His name is Bruce, correct?
He's truly an outstanding warrior.
Do either of you know him? If so, how do you think I could convince him to sleep with me?"
"Huh?!"
Zatanna's eyes widened in shock.
She had finally witnessed the true nature of a goddess.
Selina, meanwhile, wrapped her bathrobe around herself and walked behind the Lady of the Lake.
Looking at her graceful figure, she asked,
"If I answer your question, can I get a reward, Goddess?
Maybe a little hug?"
"Of course."
The Lady of the Lake smiled.
Selina immediately grinned.
"Bruce is just pretentious. If you're proactive, he definitely won't refuse.
Although you probably slept with my husband already, so Bruce might be a little more resistant.
Still, if you truly want him, just keep finding opportunities to show off your perfect figure around him.
That's my advice.
So, can I collect my reward now?"
"Of course, my dear."
The Lady of the Lake nodded cheerfully.
Selina happily stepped forward and hugged her from behind.
She shivered with satisfaction while enjoying the goddess's soft figure.
The Lady of the Lake paused briefly before leaning toward Selina's ear with a smile.
"Can you move your hands away from my chest? Those are gifts reserved for brave knights. You shouldn't block their view, my dear."
After speaking, she gently guided Selina's hands away.
Selina pouted in disappointment and instead rested her hands on the goddess's soft stomach.
Meanwhile, below the tower, the Wild Hunt had completely lost their earlier momentum.
After the Celestial Wyvern eliminated their mages responsible for transporting troops, they lost both reinforcements and battlefield coordination.
The Celestial Wyvern alone had already become difficult for them to deal with.
Bruce and the Witchers also joined the battlefield.
Floyd enthusiastically experimented with the Witchers' crossbow bolts and provided ranged support.
Even Alfred, feeling a surge of youthful energy, picked up a spare Kaer Morhen sword and joined the battle.
With Clark and Axel staying out of the fight, everyone was having a surprisingly good time.
Defeating these enemies carried no moral burden.
Instead, it brought a sense of accomplishment.
Those familiar with The Witcher knew the Wild Hunt were absolute enemies.
Those who weren't, like Bruce, only needed to know one thing.
Their enemies weren't human.
That alone was enough.
Watching everyone fight, Axel licked his lips before patting Clark's shoulder.
"Clark, don't rush.
Let everyone enjoy themselves for a while.
A suitable enemy can relieve a lot of psychological pressure.
Just stay nearby and make sure everyone remains safe."
He chuckled.
"Without their mages, the Wild Hunt are less dangerous than my mount.
Keep an eye on my dragon and make sure it doesn't accidentally hurt our people."
"No problem."
Clark nodded.
At the same time, he was itching to join the battle.
Very few people knew this, but Clark was a genuine Witcher fan.
If someone ever adapted The Witcher into a movie or television series, he would gladly hide his identity just to play Geralt.
For a fan like him, resisting the urge to fight during the Wild Hunt's invasion of Kaer Morhen was incredibly difficult.
The more everyone enjoyed themselves, the more restless he became.
Fortunately, after twenty minutes, everyone began to tire under the Wild Hunt's overwhelming numbers.
Initially, the Celestial Wyvern had dominated the battlefield.
But as time passed, the Wild Hunt stopped grouping together and scattered throughout Kaer Morhen's ruins, with some fleeing into the Blue Mountains.
At that point, the Celestial Wyvern was no longer suited for combat inside Kaer Morhen, so it flew into the mountains to hunt down the fleeing soldiers.
Without the dragon drawing enemy attention, everyone else's pressure increased significantly.
Each Wild Hunt soldier was a capable warrior with exceptional combat skills.
Seeing the final few hundred Wild Hunt gradually regain their footing and begin suppressing everyone, Clark finally couldn't hold back.
He looked at Axel, who was sitting beside Lex and drinking.
"Axel, can I join now? Everyone's exhausted."
Axel laughed.
"Look at you, more impatient than when Floyd took you to the bar last night.
Alright, go finish this.
If I keep stopping you, you'll probably want to stay in this world a little longer."
The moment he finished speaking, Clark rushed out excitedly.
As he ran, he shouted to Vesemir.
"Old Man Vesemir, I'm borrowing a silver sword from the armory!"
"No problem, young man.
I can tell you're strong.
Your friends are waiting for you to finish this, aren't they?
My silver swords would be honored to serve a warrior like you."
Clark immediately dashed into the armory, grabbed the best looking silver sword he could find, and rushed back out.
To him, it was an ordinary action.
To Vesemir, it was unbelievable.
He had just finished speaking.
Less than a second later, Clark was already back on the battlefield with a sword in hand.
"Shit, Lambert, did you see that? He's faster than a higher vampire!"
"I saw it, I saw it clearly, he... Holy shit!"
Before Lambert could finish speaking, Clark appeared before three clustered Wild Hunt soldiers.
Whoosh!
Slash!
He sliced through them and instantly arrived before another group.
Then he swung his sword again.
Although Clark performed multiple attacks, everything happened within less than a second.
To Vesemir and the others, more than seventy Wild Hunt soldiers scattered throughout the battlefield were suddenly cut apart by an ordinary silver sword.
Over seventy enemies had fallen instantly.
Vesemir and Lambert nearly popped their eyes out.
And Clark wasn't finished.
Unlike his usual fighting style in the DC Universe, he deliberately fought like a Witcher, relying on swordsmanship instead of brute force whenever possible.
Bruce watched another enemy split in half and stopped moving.
Even though Clark was an ally, Bruce couldn't help feeling uneasy about such overwhelming power.
Just as he always worried about Axel.
At that moment, Bruce made a silent decision.
When he returned to Wayne Manor, he would convince Lex to establish additional contingency measures for all superpowered individuals.
He would also secretly create a laboratory that belonged only to himself.
Inside it, he would prepare emergency plans independent of both himself and Lex.
Plans designed to deal with everyone.
While Bruce was making his decision,
Swish!
Slash!
Thud!
The sounds of collapsing bodies and the Wild Hunt's screams echoed throughout Kaer Morhen.
Watching every enemy disappear in an instant, Vesemir swallowed hard.
"If we let this guy continue, he could wipe out every army in the entire world by himself!"
He stared at Clark, who had already returned to his original spot due to the lack of enemies.
Lambert and Eskel, however, remained far calmer.
After wiping his sword clean, Lambert walked over and smiled.
"Old man, don't be so shocked.
That's a warrior who travels with a god.
No matter where he goes, he'd be a legend.
We should simply enjoy what it's like to walk alongside one.
Though it's a shame..."
His expression turned regretful.
"It's a shame that bastard Geralt isn't here to witness this.
Who would've thought he'd leave before me?"
"Don't say that too soon."
Eskel suddenly placed a hand on Lambert's shoulder.
"Kaer Morhen welcomed two gods today.
So why don't we ask them to bring Geralt and Yennefer back?
If they're willing, surely they can do it.
And if they refuse, we'll find another way.
What do you think?"
