AKAME ASSASINATION (12)
OPEN!
They slammed the door open using police rams from the local task force that had been called on sight immediately after the first set of civilians had been reported dead.
"What is it you see in there?" An officer asked.
"Oh… you might wanna take a look for yourself."
The entire room would have left anyone in awe or disgust, there was no in between with this one. The floor itself was fine, except for a few pieces of rubble that obscured it. However, the walls were covered with creatures that resembled humans or were once human.
Their bodies had merged with the brown rock that was meant to trap them. They were still alive, squirming, with bated breath awaiting to kiss their one and only lover.
"Dear God." One of the police stared in horror at all of them.
"Excuse me, real man coming through." Justine pushed his way to the front, "Damn, this is freaky."
"Sir will you not…"
"Move!" Angel pushed the man out of the way stopping him mid-sentence, "Who the hell…"
"Um… pardon me." Teddy made it and stood next to Angel and Justine as they stared in awe at the site.
"This looks like something you'd cook up, right Ted?" Justine spoke without even glancing at him.
"Yeah… I mean no, but yes this does have traces of earth alchemy in it. But Its not something I can do on a scale this large."
"It has to be Jericho." Angel spoke as well, "There is no other option."
"Is she like… an organic alchemist or some shit?" Justine pointed out.
"Yeah but isn't earth organic?"
"Not necessarily, there does exist inorganic matter or humus in the earth but…"
"Save us the science lesson Ted." Angel stopped him, "Find her, she's in here somewhere."
"Yes ma'am." Both boys said in unison.
"Start by looking at the corners and bathrooms, maybe she's in there."
"True, or and this is me just spit balling ideas here, maybe she's in that ball at the center." Justine casually pointed at a sphere made of solid rock at the center of the room.
"You just love getting in my face don't you?" Angel stared at him angrily.
"I have no idea what you might be implying." He smirked walking towards the big ball.
"Wow, its an earth coffin." Ted was already there, as though drawn to it by some kind of telepathic force, "It's the first thing they teach us to make."
"Told you its your handy work." Justine teased further.
"It isn't!" He held him mouth, "Sorry, didn't mean to yell."
"Its fine, can you undo it?" Angel was getting jittery about the entire situation.
"I can try."
He grabbed onto the rock with his palms, 'Iman, are you in there?' he wondered, 'A crazy feat you were able to pull off, did you have to use transmutation circles for this one? Or maybe you had to use the ace up your sleeve.'
He then slowly began digging his fingers into the sphere, "Whichever the case, it truly is magnificent. I would expect nothing less."
RIP!
He tore off the outer covering of the sphere.
"Wow, who would've guessed she was in there?"
"Stop being a smart ass."
Out of the center fell Jericho's body, limp as a rag.
"Iman!" Teddy shouted as he threw the side of the sphere he had peeled off away. He then went on his knees holding Jericho's head.
"Shit, this is actually real." Justine got serious for a moment.
"Angel!" Teddy turned to her, "Do something."
"What the fuck do you want me to do?"
"I don't know!" There was clear distress in his eyes. There are many moments in life that make us reveal our true self and intentions to the world. In truth, Angel felt no love for anyone.
Not her parents.
Not her friends.
In fact she would actively try and severe these connections whenever the moment arose for her to do so.
'Meaningless, people cling to this pitiful life, they cling on to others for support. I don't need it.' It might have been true for a long time. Even now, perhaps it was true. But looking into Teddy's eyes, she saw something… something that made her heart fold, only a little.
"Fine." She knelt down next to him, "I'm the leader after all, it would be bad to have her die without me scolding her."
"Thank you." Teddy gestured with a smile.
"Try not to thank me yet, get a doctor for me while I'm at this." She gestured.
"Well don't just stand there, you heard the lady go get a doctor." Justine turned and yelled at the security team and police.
Jericho's face was pale and her leather clothes had been torn up, there was excessive bleeding coming from her forearms. Her lips were also extremely dry.
Angel put her hands on Jericho's chest.
ANGEL HEALING PALM!
The ability activated as soon as it came into contact with a wound or blood. It allows for rapid healing.
"But doesn't she have an insane healing factor, one that allows for her to heal almost instantaneously?" Justine stared at Teddy, "Isn't that something she has?"
"Oh… sorry." Teddy had been zoned out and was thinking about other things, "Yeah, she does but only to a certain extent. Plus because her regeneration uses enzymes as catalysts inhibitors can slow down her regeneration."
"A pain in the ass if you asked me."
"Will the both of shut up!" Angel yelled, "I'm trying to focus here."
Angel's ability should be able to re-awaken Jericho's regeneration enzymes within her tissue. This should enable her to recover from any internal damage she might have taken that cannot be currently seen by the naked eye.
Teddy sat there, his eyes fixed on her lifeless body. He could feel tears actively welling up, he doesn't know how he'll be able to face 'them' if anything were to happen to her.
SNIFF!
"Get a grip!"
SLAM!
Justine slapped him on the back. "Stop being a man child for once, its pathetic."
Teddy sniffed again. "Sorry."
"And stop apologizing for everything."
"Sorry!"

Catherine puffed as she came to a stop underneath the tree. She laid down the girl's unconscious body next to Akame who was still fast a sleep. She then sat down next to both of them still trying to wrap her head around what had just unfolded.
'I was dead, there was no way I survived that.' She thought to herself. She then ended up staring at her stomach where a hole was just a few minutes ago, she even saw her life flashing before her eyes.
So how was she still alive?
Maybe this was proof that she was no longer just a human, she had forfeit the rights of all humans. By killing herself she had transcended to a state of being where death wasn't something she could have now.
'I… just wanted to be happy.' She curled up into a little ball feeling bad about the entire situation. She stared at her feet, her cute pink socks were soggy and she's dropped her handbag somewhere, not to mention she didn't even say goodbye to her new friend (The little creature that burrowed in the hole.)
She then looked at the girl she had saved, "You didn't even try to help me, or wanna be my friend ,huh?'
SWOOOSH!
Before she could react a thick black rope wrapped around her at such a speed that she couldn't even think of moving.
"Ah! What the!" She struggled to get free, but it was too tight. "Hey! Let me go."
From behind the tall grass came two tall men with traditional clothing similar to the girl. "Hey let me GO!" She screamed and tried to unbind herself.
They smiled at her and it was obvious they had no intention of letting her go anytime soon.
