I looked at names I recognized. Elders who'd voted on my custody. Council members who'd testified at Kael's hearing. People in positions of authority who'd been funding Marcus's collection program while publicly condemning exactly what they were privately supporting.
"Thomas wasn't the only one," I said. "He was just the one who got caught. The entire Council has been complicit in collecting Omegas with abilities and weaponizing them."
