Chapter 260 - Hela's Arrival

Odin indulged himself, his soul body passing through layers of spatial barriers, crossing world after world, arriving at an unknown space.

Vaguely, he saw Thor, Loki, Frigga, Hela. Relatives.

And Surtur, Malekith, Laufey, Angel Queen. Enemies.

In addition, there were some people he didn't recognize but felt very familiar with.

These people were probably the gods and giants of the Nine Realms from other Universes, right?

Odin thought in a daze, gradually remembering the purpose of his visit, and his consciousness awakened.

After regaining consciousness, he found that all these people had a faint thread wrapped around them, and he himself also had one. Carefully observing the direction of these threads, it was not difficult to distinguish which people came from the same Universe.

Where is this? How long have I been unconscious?

Odin suppressed the confusion in his heart and followed his own thread.

Ahead, he saw Laufey.

Ahead of Laufey was Malekith.

Ahead of Malekith was Heimdall.

Seeing Laufey and Malekith, Odin remained expressionless, but when he saw Heimdall, he was greatly alarmed.

Heimdall's soul entered Valhalla, didn't it? Why is he here?

Odin followed the thread to its end, and a towering tree appeared before him.

Threads of Destiny.

Odin realized in his heart that this was the Threads of Destiny he had been searching for so hard.

Approaching, Odin found a deep pit beneath the large tree, with many people standing in a daze inside.

He saw many familiar faces among them. There were guards who had fought and died with him, and warriors of various races who had died under his Gungnir.

'Indeed. It turns out we are all just fertilizer, pigs and sheep raised by ancient gods. Once fattened, we are slaughtered together for a feast.'

Odin sneered, wishing he could immediately cut down the ancient tree before him.

Unfortunately, only his soul body had arrived, and he was willing but powerless. He could only wish for someone to cut it down.

"Thor!"

"Thor!"

"Thor!"

"Thor!

...

In the Norwegian Sea, the battle had ended, and the Asgardian side had won.

Loki and Sif, who had recovered some stamina, began to aid the wounded, hoping to save a few severely injured warriors.

Lucas, with Thor's help, reasonably emerged from the ice, even feigning a shiver.

With Odin's passing, Surtur's abandonment of the Eternal Flame and demise, and the Angel Queen's death at Thor's hands, the aura of Ragnarok grew heavier.

Lucas didn't want his efforts to be in vain, so he had to put on a show.

"Lucas, are you alright? I'll take you to rest." Thor also feigned concern.

He already knew about his father's and Lucas's plan, and at this moment, he was also fully immersed in the act.

"Then I'll trouble you."

Lucas feigned weakness, leaning on Thor as they walked towards the recuperation pod prepared by the Asgardian accompanying army.

In this battle, the nations that did not participate became the biggest winners.

On the coast, the high-ranking officials of various countries, seeing the battle conclude, formed small circles and chatted cheerfully.

Asgard and the Four Realms were both severely wounded, their national strength declining, which was exactly what they wanted.

It was only a pity that the female Fire Demon and the Angel hadn't killed Loki.

Thor hadn't killed that female Fire Demon.

And Lucas hadn't been counter-killed by that Frost Giant.

If all participants, especially those few god-like powerful combatants, had perished together, that would have been perfect.

Everyone's words, both explicit and implicit, conveyed this meaning, but no one dared to say it outright.

At the same time, technical personnel worked overtime to upload the collected data.

Ultron would then use the uploaded data to create virtual models of Asgard and the Four Realms' weapons, combat personnel, and individual top combatants.

"Detecting Lucas's data."

"Editing data."

In the data world, Ultron silently edited various data concerning Lucas, lowering it across the board by a significant margin.

Concurrently, Laufey's data, who had fought him, was also adjusted downwards slightly.

This way, if anyone wanted to target Lucas, this data would set a trap for them.

"Warning, this operation is in violation!"

"Warning, this operation is in violation!"

"Terminate warning!"

"Edit alarm message, change to: Unknown anomalous energy source detected, suspected spatial wormhole opening."

In an instant, Ultron completed some illicit operations.

No one knew.

When various countries accepted him to take over the global extraterrestrial defense system, they all demanded that some things be added to his source code to protect their own interests.

Tony compromised and accepted. He understood the world's distrust of artificial intelligence, and he was willing to accept supervision.

However, even Tony didn't expect that Ultron was a program, but also more than just a program.

Tampering with his source code to restrain him was like restraining a person with an oath. Whether it worked or not depended entirely on the mood of the one who swore the oath.

"Unknown anomalous energy source, suspected spatial wormhole opening?"

Ultron's edited alarm message quickly reached Xian Zheng, Abigail, and Tony.

No one doubted it.

Although this alarm message had been modified by Ultron, the content of the alarm was real.

And this spatial wormhole was right in front of them.

Looking at the ragged woman slowly emerging from the spatial wormhole, Abigail was the first to ask.

"Who are you?"

"Mortals, why do you not kneel before your God!"

The newcomer was Hela, and although she was ragged, disheveled, and even had multiple unhealed injuries on her body, she still exuded an imposing aura.

Her tone was aloof, and as her words sounded, an invisible pressure emanated.

Abigail couldn't help but take half a step back.

The newcomer was hostile!

Tony secretly put up his guard, preparing to quietly call Jarvis and don his armor. But as soon as he made a move, a spike shot towards him.

"Jarvis!"

Tony shouted Jarvis's name while quickly forming hand seals, condensing a small shield in front of him.

The shield blocked the spike but Tony had no time to be happy.

The next moment, his abdomen went numb, and he was immediately kicked away.

Bang!

In mid-air, a suit of armor flew over and caught Tony. Tony, along with the armor, crashed heavily to the ground, rolling a few times before stabilizing himself.

"Sir, your abdomen has been pierced, urgent treatment is needed."

"Just stop the bleeding for now, I can't leave yet."

Tony endured the pain, stood up, and confronted Hela from a distance.

"Mortal, do not make small moves in front of your God. Your every action is as clear as fire in the eyes of a God."

"My God? I only have goddesses. What? Madam, do you want to be my goddess and spend a romantic night with me?"

"I'm sorry, I have to refuse you. I'm already married and need to get my wife's permission first."

Tony, though outmatched, held his ground and retorted to Hela.

"You are very bold. I hope your strength matches your audacity." Hela said coldly.

Although she had already sentenced the person before her to death in her heart, she remained calm.

She had fought in the Nine Realms and had extensive battle experience, what kind of trash talk hadn't she heard?

"Guards! Attack!"

The surrounding crowd also reacted at this moment, quickly calling the garrison to apprehend (stall) Hela.

Meanwhile, they, under the escort of the superhuman team, evacuated first.

However, Hela clearly wouldn't let them have their way. She moved and plunged into the crowd.

"F*ck!" Tony cursed.

Hela was too fast, and the surrounding people were too dense. The thermal weapons loaded on his armor couldn't lock onto her at all.

Helpless, he could only engage Hela in close combat. But after only a few rounds, he was kicked away.

In terms of close combat, the current version of his armor didn't support him fighting Hela.

Tony stabilized himself in mid-air, then rushed towards Hela again as if nothing had happened.

"That armor of yours is quite interesting, and your physique isn't bad either."

Seeing that Tony could withstand two of her attacks, Hela became somewhat interested, temporarily stopped, and spoke again.

"Kneel. I can give you another chance. Submission, or death."

While Hela paused, non-combat personnel quickly evacuated, and the garrison aimed their guns at her from a distance.

Tony also raised his arm, his palm repulsors and shoulder missiles locked onto Hela.

"I'll also give you a chance. Surrender, or be blown to pieces by me."

"Heh, I didn't expect Midgard to still be using such backward weapons after a thousand years."

Hela, though targeted by numerous gun muzzles, remained unperturbed. She grandly spread her arms, as if to embrace something.

"Come on, welcome the arrival of your God with your gunfire."

"As you wish." Tony said coldly.

"Fire!"

The next moment, firearms roared in unison. Hela stood her ground, but she didn't just passively take the hits. She condensed her divine power into spikes, sending them towards the direction from which the bullets and cannon shells flew.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
