Seraphina's Point Of View
Rose breathed in deeply, held her breath for two agonizing seconds, and then reached out, her fingers wrapping tight around my cold, trembling hands. She squeezed them so hard my knuckles turned pale, as though she could physically transfer some of her steadiness into me. For a moment, neither of us spoke, and the silence between us felt heavier than anything either of us could have said.
"I'm not gonna lie, Phina... that is officially the most unhinged, insane, absolutely craziest story I have ever heard in my whole entire life." Rose shook her head slowly, her eyes wide as saucers, completely blown away. "I need a minute. My brain is literally trying to short-circuit."
She pressed a hand to her chest, exhaling like she'd just run a marathon, her gaze drifting toward the ceiling as though searching for something solid to anchor her thoughts. "But... I'm glad, Phina."
