Chapter 57 - Chapter 55: The Name Jar Chaos

The living room of the Watson mansion looked like a campaign headquarters. There were baby name books scattered on the floor, printouts of "Top 100 Baby Names" taped to the walls, and at the center of the coffee table sat a massive, empty glass jar.

Jay-jay stood before the Section E boys with her hands on her hips. She was finally starting to show a little, and her "no-nonsense mother" aura was already in full effect.

Alright, listen up," Jay-jay announced, tapping the glass jar with a pen. "Since Keifer's last ideas were 'Caretaker' and 'Watcher,' he has been temporarily banned from making unilateral naming decisions.

It was a solid strategic concept," Keifer muttered from the armchair, crossing his arms and looking thoroughly offended.

It was a disaster, Keifer," Jay-jay corrected. "So, here's the deal. We are doing a Name Jar. Everyone gets to write down one boy name and one girl name on a slip of paper. Tomorrow, we pull them out, and we decide as a family. No fighting, no vetoes unless they are completely ridiculous.

This is highly unconstitutional," Keifer grumbled, but he reached for a slip of paper anyway.

Within minutes, the slips of paper were flying. David was busy researching names that translated to "genius hacker" in three different languages. Felix wrote his down quickly, folded it precisely, and dropped it in. Josh was humming a song while doodling little stars on his.

But Ci-N was taking the task very seriously.

He was scribbling furiously, ripping paper into tiny pieces, folding them, and throwing them into the jar. Drop. Drop. Drop.

Ci-N," Jay-jay said, her eyes narrowing as she watched him slide his tenth piece of paper into the jar. "You're only supposed to put two names in there.

I'm just making sure my voice is heard, Mutya!" Ci-N smiled innocently, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "It's a democracy, right?

"I highly doubt your suggestions are democratic," Felix muttered, headbutting Ci-N gently to make him step away from the table.

The next afternoon, the living room was packed again. The tension was thick as Jay-jay shook the heavy glass jar.

Okay, let's start with the girl," Jay-jay said, reaching her hand inside. She swirled the papers around, pulled one out, and unfolded it. She blinked.

"What is it?" Josh asked, leaning forward.

"Batman," Jay-jay read flatly.

"Hey! That's a strong name!" Ci-N cheered, raising his hand.

Jay-jay sighed, tossing the paper into the trash bin. She reached in and pulled out a second slip. She unfolded it. "Batman."

She reached in again. "Batman... in pink."

"Ci-N!" Felix roared, grabbing the boy by his collar. "How many times did you write Batman?!"

"It's a classic! If it's a girl, she can be Batgirl, but Batman just has more authority!" Ci-N defended himself, trying to wiggle out of Felix's grip.

Jay-jay decided to take matters into her own hands. She dumped the entire jar onto the table. A literal avalanche of crumpled papers fell out—and almost every single one of them had "BATMAN," "BRUCE WAYNE," or "THE DARK KNIGHT" written in Ci-N's messy handwriting.

"I had a feeling," Jay-jay laughed, shaking her head.

"Alright, since the jar has been compromised by Gotham's biggest fan," Jay-jay said, looking at the boys, "Keifer and I decided to look at the few actual, normal suggestions we managed to rescue before the Batman invasion."

She walked over to Keifer, who stood up and stood right beside her. He looked down at her with a soft expression that he only ever saved for her.

"First, for our little princess," Jay-jay smiled, holding up one of the clean slips of paper. " Her name is going to be Keira."

"Keira Watson," David tested the name, pushing up his glasses. "I like it. It sounds sharp. Like someone who can run a multinational corporation or hotwire a sports car."

"She will do both," Keifer said proudly.

"And what about the boy?" Felix asked, leaning against the doorframe. "Please tell me it's not 'Watcher' or 'Batman'

Keifer stepped forward. He stood tall, his usual cold, commanding presence melting into something incredibly warm and sincere. He looked directly at Jay-jay, reaching out to gently take her hand.

"I wanted a name that holds strength, but more importantly, a name that honors the person who changed my life," Keifer said, his voice deep and steady. He looked down at their joined hands. "Our son will carry the legacy of his mother, the one who tamed Section E."

He looked back up at the boys.

"His name is Jayden Watson."

The room went completely still for a second before Ci-N let out a massive gasp.

"Jayden!" Josh cheered, a huge grin breaking across his face. "Like Jay-jay! Oh, that is absolutely perfect!"

"Keira and Jayden Watson," Felix nodded, a rare, genuine smile showing on his face. "Yeah. Those are names fit for the next generation of Watsons."

Jay-jay felt her eyes tear up as she looked at Keifer. He had chosen a name that linked back to her, making sure their son would always carry a piece of his mother's identity.

"Jayden..." she whispered, leaning into him. "I love it, Keifer."

"He will be strong, Jay," Keifer whispered back, wrapping his arm securely around her waist. "Just like you."

"And he's gonna be a genius like us!" Ci-N yelled, jumping onto the coffee table. "Welcome to the world, Keira and Jayden! Section E is officially on baby duty!"

(Author's thought)

Oh my gosh, they are finally named! 😭❤️

Our little princess is officially Keira Watson (keeping that K-tradition for Keifer!), and our little prince is Jayden Watson (honoring our one and only Mutya, Jay-jay!). I honestly couldn't be happier with how their names turned out.

But of course, I have to know what you guys think!

What do you think of the names Keira and Jayden? Do you love them? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
