"Don't you want to guess who was the first to panic when you fainted?" Mark asked as he put his hands on his pockets while looking at the view. "Well, I'm pretty sure it was Simon and was followed by Matthew." I answered. Mark chuckled. Okay, how many times did this man chuckle tonight? I lost count."It was Andrew, followed by Tabitha." Mark said with a smile. "No way…" I replied. "Yeah. They were the first ones to panic." Mark continued as he nodded.
Huh.So they were the ones who panicked first."You saw us?" I asked as I continued looking at him. "Yeah. I was watching all of you." Mark answered, then looked at me. "I was impressed how John could tell right away that your water was spiked. His instinct is incredible." Mark continued then looked away again. "Right, I remembered that." I replied then looked away. How can John tell right away though?Did… he know something?
Mark then sighed deeply. "You know, I remembered a story from the Bible when your friends made a scene back in the venue." Mark said, making me look back at him and saw him looking at me. "I-I still haven't begun reading the Bible, so…" I replied as I slowly looked away and held tightly on the blanket.
"No need to be ashamed about that, not everyone was able to." Mark said softly, making me slowly look back at him and saw him smiling at me softly while still looking. I smiled at him, "What was the story about?" I asked. "It was about a paralyzed man," Mark answered, then he looked away.
"You can read it from the Gospels: Matthew 9, Mark 2, and Luke 5. The man was paralyzed and 4 men brought him to Yeshua for healing. I bet those four men were the paralyzed man's friends. The four of them were not able to carry the paralyzed man closer to Yeshua because of the crowd. Then they went to the roof of the house where Yeshua was preaching and lowered the paralyzed man there." continued Mark.
"Now that's a scene." I commented as I looked away. Mark chuckled again. Seriously, am I that funny for him to be chuckling multiple times now? "I know, right? Want to know what happens next?" Mark replied then asked. I smiled then looked at him and saw him looking at me again. "What happened next?" I asked while smiling. "Yeshua forgave the sins of the paralyzed man." Mark answered with a faint smile.
"Did the paralyzed man walk after?" I asked again while still looking at him. "He did. He was able to walk, right after Yeshua knew what the Scribes were thinking and asked them which is better to say to the paralyzed man: 'Your sins are forgiven' or 'Get up, take your mat and walk'." Mark answered with a proud smile. I chuckled, making Mark flinch a little.
I raised both my brows while looking at him then he closed his eyes and shook his head. "I-I-uh… shall-shall we withdraw now, Miss Maria?" Mark asked after he shook his head then looked at me again. "Th-the night is deep and the air is cold. I don't want you-I mean WE! WE don't want you getting sick now, Miss Maria." Mark continued while stuttering. Why are my cheeks getting warmer and my ears!?
"Oh. Uhm. Sh-shall we?" I asked Mark, stuttering. "We shall, Miss Maria." Mark answered softly then cleared his throat. He then looked away then looked back at me again, nodded, then walked towards the balcony door. And so I followed him and he opened the door for me. "Th-thank you." I thanked Mark then walked inside.
