When the bartender came back with 2 trays filled with glasses of wine, the 2 servers took them, thanked the bartender and began serving the guests again.
"Did you find who you were looking for?" Asked the bartender as he began wiping the glass that he left earlier. "I'm not quite sure…" I replied then finished my glass of water. "Want another one?" The bartender asked as soon as I put down my glass. "Yes, please. Thank you," I replied. He then took my glass and walked away.
I sighed. Is Yeshua repeating the things that He did back in His time? Will crucifying a person be back in this day and age? That… would be… traumatic… Huh. I wonder if the apostles were there when Yeshua was tortured and crucified. Why did even Yeshua come back here when the priests and even the pastors tell us that He is already at the right hand of God? Is this even making any sense? Holy Spirit? Could you please answer me?
"Another glass of water to the fine lady," said the bartender as soon as he came back with my glass of water. And just like that, I came back to reality. "Thanks," then I took the glass of water that he put down. 'Fine lady'? Something has changed."Seemed like you're deep in your thoughts," said the bartender, wiping the glass that he finished wiping earlier before walking away. Why do I feel like something's not right here anymore? "Yeah." I simply replied and stared at the glass of water. "Go."
"I got to go. Now." I said while still staring and holding onto the glass of water. "Where are you going? Don't you want to tell me more about what you're thinking, fine lady?"There he goes again with the 'fine lady'. "Go." I just shook my head with a soft smile and went my way. "Oh, I'll get you back, stupid girl."
As I kept on walking, I just stared at the water. "Hey, Maria," called John, who I almost bump into. I just looked at him and he quickly stared at the glass of water. "Why aren't you drinking it? Is something wrong with it?" Asked John. I just looked down at the glass of water that I am holding. John quickly took it from me, held my wrist and gently pulled me. "Yeshua was found. Well, He came back to the table but Simon said they're the ones who found Him." Said John as we were walking back to our table. I didn't respond to him.
That wasn't the same person. The bartender changed. Changed into something… terrifying. Heavy. Chest. Heavy. Breath. Rapid. Shaking. Shaking. Hands. Knees.
John stopped, making me stop as well, then he looked at me. "Maria," he called. I kept on staring at the floor as it got blurry. "Maria, look at me. Are you alright?" John said while still holding my wrist, and I slowly did. "John… you're blurry…" I said to John when I was able to look at him. Without any more words, John hugged me. And I began whimpering.
"Hey, Teacher's already looking for you tw— what happened?"
"Hold this,"
"What's this?"
"Spiked."
"By who?"
"I don't know, Thomas. Help me calm her down."
"I don't—" he sighed, "I-it's okay now, Maria. We're here now."
"Come on, Maria, Let's go back to our table." Said John as he gently pushed me away to make me look at him, and I did but my vision is still blurry. I just nodded in response. Both John and I pulled away from the hug. I am now following Thomas while John walks behind me and he is holding my shoulders like guiding a kid.
"So we have a different accommodation after this event?" Simon asked Yeshua with a smile and a hint of excitement. Everyone was already there. "Yes, Simon," answered Yeshua with a faint smile.
When Tabitha and I looked at each other, her smile quickly faded. "Maria?" Called Tabitha as she walked towards me. "What happened?" Asked Andrew. Thomas then gave the glass of water to Jude. "Check it." Said Thomas.
Jude then wafts the air above the glass towards his nose, opens the flashlight of his phone and puts the glass above the flashlight and sees that there's a little bit of cloudiness in the water. "Someone spiked her water." Said Jude.
