Chapter 72 - | Wine

I looked around the place where the kids were still busy folding napkins. He's not there. I went outside and looked around. Not there either. On the dance floor, none. Back in our table where the only ones left there were James and I think that's Matthew. Yeshua's not there either.

I tried to look for Ruth and Boaz, thinking that maybe Yeshua was congratulating them. But as soon as I saw where Ruth and Boaz were, Yeshua was not there either. Where could He be? I hope He's somewhere safe. Then I ended up at the bar where they just refilled it with new bottles of wine.

"What would you like to drink, miss?" Asked the bartender. I looked at him then shrugged my shoulders. "Is there something that won't make me drunk even if I drank too much?" I asked back as I looked at the bartender. He chuckled then shook his head. "I'll give you water," said the bartender with a smile. I smiled back then he went away to get me a glass of water. "Ask. Wine." What? Why would I? I don't want to get drunk. "Ask about wine." Said the Holy Spirit.

I sighed. "I saw that y'all just refilled this bar with new bottles of wine," I said to the bartender. "Oh, yes. I kind guest also helped us with it too," replied the bartender as he returned with a glass of water. "Really?" I asked as I took the glass of water that he placed in front of me. "Yeah. I think the dude is close with the family of the bride. He was just about to get something to drink when I think the mother of the bride asked for his help with something," answered the bartender.

"Did he tell you his name?" I asked and then drank my water. "Unfortunately not," answered the bartender as he began cleaning some of the glasses in front of him. "Oh."

"Hey, dude. We need more wine!" Said the server who just popped out of nowhere beside me.

"Damn, bro. These people drink wine like it's just water for them." Said the other server who stood beside the first server. "If you still want to talk to someone, wait for me, yeah?" Said the bartender to me as he put down the glass and napkin from his hands. I smiled at him then nodded in response and he walked away.

"'Drink wine like it's just water for them'?" I repeated what the other server said. Both of them looked at me; the first looked terrified and the other looked with eagerness. "Yeah! We've been serving them wine since the beginning to the point that we ran out of wine!" The second server replied. The first server quickly turned around and faced the other server as he talked to him. "Wedding at Cana."

"Wedding at Cana." And I just blurted it out. The first server stopped and slowly looked at me. "Yes. Yes! Just like that!" Said the second server with enthusiasm. "Would you believe us if we told you?" Asked the first server. "Try me." I replied and the two of them just began telling what happened.

Just like what the bartender said earlier, a man that seemed close with the family of the bride went to the bar to get something to drink and when the mother of the bride asked the man for help, he gladly did so. What happened tonight behind the luxury and festivity of this event, these people who work behind the scenes, outside the room of luxury and festivity, what they encountered behind the closed door of the kitchen, they call it a miracle.

Those who knew the Gospel, they say that it was just like the wedding at Cana.
