Si woo
I woke up to the sound of my own heart banging against my ribs like it wanted out. The bed felt too big and too empty in this room that was supposed to be mine. Separate rooms. That was the new normal now. Ye Jun had moved his stuff out weeks ago and I still hated it every single night. I rubbed my face hard and sat up. Today was the day our parents got back from their holiday and we had made that stupid pact. Hide the memory loss. Act like everything was fine. Smile, nod, pretend I remembered every little thing about us. Easy, right? Bullshit.
I pulled on a shirt and walked downstairs. Ye Jun was already in the kitchen making coffee. He did not even look up when I came in. Just poured himself a cup and leaned against the counter like I was part of the furniture. Cold. That was the word for it. His eyes had this flat look whenever they landed on me now, like he was staring at a stranger wearing my face.
"Morning," I said, trying to sound normal.
