Even after figuring out the reason behind its madness—
They still had to fight.
"Let's move," Ethan said, his tone cold. "Aurora was knocked unconscious by its attack. We can't let it keep destroying everything."
No matter what, the priority now was clear—
Seal it… or capture it.
"Yanhuang, Mewtwo—go!"
Yanhuang stepped forward, visibly eager.
Back when this creature was sealed, it hadn't even qualified to participate.
But now?
As a God-tier Pokémon, it wanted to test itself.
First Clash – Absolute Defense
"Mewtwo, Aura Sphere!"
Mewtwo surged forward, gathering immense aura energy before unleashing it at close range.
The attack struck the giant Claydol directly—
BOOM!
The explosion spread across its body.
And yet—
No damage.
Ethan's eyes widened.
"Such ridiculous defense…"
Typhlosion's Flamethrower had been neutralized before even landing.
Now even Mewtwo's Aura Sphere couldn't leave a scratch.
Just how high is its defense?
Yanhuang spoke up.
"There's a psychic barrier covering its body. Ordinary attacks are useless."
Ethan frowned.
Then how are we supposed to fight this?
If most attacks were ineffective, did that mean they had to overwhelm it instantly?
But this thing didn't look like something that could be taken down in one hit.
Testing Limits
"Yanhuang—Flamethrower!"
Yanhuang unleashed blazing flames.
This time, the giant Claydol reacted.
It began spinning rapidly.
The flames struck—
But were gradually dispersed.
When the attack ended—
Claydol remained completely unharmed.
Not a single mark on its body.
Ethan was stunned.
"This thing is broken…"
Even a God-tier Flamethrower had no effect.
With this level of defense, very few moves could even break through—
Let alone defeat it.
Ethan's "Trainer Strategy"
Ethan took a deep breath.
"If brute force won't work… then I'll use a different method."
A faint smirk appeared on his face.
"Try this—Food Temptation!"
He tossed out a storage sphere.
A mountain of food instantly appeared.
All kinds of Pokémon food piled together, releasing an irresistible aroma.
Even a human would find it overwhelming.
And as expected—
The giant Claydol stopped attacking.
It turned—
And locked onto the food.
The next moment—
It charged forward like a bulldozer.
One bite—
One-fifth of the entire food mountain disappeared.
Ethan inhaled sharply.
"This thing eats THAT much?!"
That pile was enough to feed all his Pokémon for a month!
And it just wiped out a fifth of it in a single bite.
A Gluttonous Monster
Within seconds—
The entire mountain of food was gone.
Completely devoured.
And yet—
Claydol still looked… unsatisfied.
"That's it?!" Ethan stared in disbelief. "It finished everything already?!"
He had hoped to stall for time.
Instead—
It didn't even last a minute.
Claydol turned toward him and let out a low cry.
Yanhuang translated calmly:
"It says… it wants more."
Ethan's face darkened.
"I don't have any left!"
That had been his entire запас of supplies.
Where was he supposed to get more?
Claydol let out another sound.
Yanhuang continued:
"It says… if you don't give it more food—"
"It's going to attack again."
Ethan's expression turned cold.
"So after eating all that… it still wants to fight?"
"Fine."
"If you want food, there's none."
"But if you want a beating—"
"I've got plenty."
Full Assault
"Attack!"
This time, all three Pokémon moved together.
Mewtwo. Yanhuang. Metagross.
A barrage of moves rained down on the giant Claydol.
For a moment—
They managed to hold it back.
But the damage?
Almost nonexistent.
At this rate, even after hours of fighting, they might not be able to bring it down.
Endless Power
"OOO—!"
Claydol roared.
Then—
It began firing destructive beams nonstop.
One after another.
Without pause.
As if it would never run out of energy.
Even Ethan was forced to retreat further back to avoid being hit.
"This thing… doesn't even get tired?!"
The situation was getting worse.
Fast.
