"Fuck no!" I snapped, my voice cutting through his delusional romantic fantasy like a razor.
Taka remained frozen on his knees, but the tips of his avian ears turned a furious, bright red.
The sudden rush of blood must have been flowing in reverse through his entire system from pure embarrassment.
"Sit still!" I commanded, stepping squarely into his personal space.
Without giving him a fraction of a second to brace himself, I wrapped my fingers around a thick clump of glossy feathers right on his shoulder and yanked as hard as I humanly could.
"Ouch! 'Caw!' Female, please, be gentle!" Taka yelled out, his wings instinctively flinching inward as a sharp gasp tore from his throat.
"Are you stupid?!" I scolded, completely ignoring his whimpering as I gripped another handful of prime flight feathers, ripping them out with a brutal twist before stepping back.
