Surprised at the sudden gift Aqua stood there for a while thinking what to do next. When a text on her watch caused chills to run down her spine. The scanner was reacting to black magic in the area. The scanner was particularly made to detect a specific strain of the enchanted flames of the north bewitched by black magic which belonged to ex-agent starfire. Snow immediately headed towards the location. When a sudden figure blocked her way with a sheathed sword.
"Let me go!?"
Aqua commanded , she hid her desperation and fear behind a mask of authority. The figure crouched down infront of her and removed the mask he wore.
"Don't be impulsive Aqua"
he said as gently as possible. It turned out to be Luka, the crown prince of Wales.
He saw that Aqua was trembling and kissed her strap gloved hand and handed her a shawarma,
"Go eat this habibi and leave this to the experts"
he said with a smirk. Aqua wanted to argue but knew that she would only be a liability in this situation, so apologized and left dejectedly. Luka was heartbroken when he saw his younger cousin so upset, but the situation had been very delicate since the past two months, so they couldn't take any chances.
"She's okay right?"
Asked another female voice but Luka was lost in thought. Already agitated, she yelled at him
"Hey bro!?.."
"You ready coco?"
He asked cutting her off with a smirk.
"Oh yeah, lets do this!?"
Coral said with enthusiasm.
"All the excitement for what?"
She asked after ten minutes of their outburst while staring at an empty warehouse which they had ransacked.
"How come it was a false alarm!?"
Luka said angrily. They both entered Aqua's room by the window. Aqua was scrolling on her phone with a half eaten shawarma in her hands when she sat up and asked them the results. They exchanged a awkward smile and explained to her that it was a false alarm.
"Has our tech gone crazy?!"
Aqua thundered as she abandoned the shawarma on the table and called the emperor.
"Hold a council dad"
she said and seated Coral and Luka at the bed and connected her device to the aeroscreen. Soon the Waverock council began, she prompted Luka to address them but he just smiled idiotically at her. Aqua then realized she had trapped herself. Immediately supplicating for fluency, she began explaining the situation and asked the R&D wht could have caused it. Siesta, the representative of the tech support stood up and explained that it was highly unlikely that the scanner was mistaken. She further said that it was made to be extremely sensitive to starfire's signature dark energy and the frost core waves released when glacial ice decendants used their power.
Arskan asked Luka and Coral if they scrutinized the area thoroughly. They replied in affirmative but said that they needed access to cctv footage from a camera which was nearby and asked the council if they should seek permission from Theodore or leave the matter be, as the knowledge about this turmoil might spread and things might get nasty. Marina said that the emperor of Ghana already had a rough idea about what had happened nine years ago, so suggested that they seek permission.
Some nobles argued that they can't just go and investigate in their country like that. these officials were very attached to their home country and often suggested biased advice
Arskan however, could neither dismiss them nor discipline them as they were practically gifts from his close friend. He sighed with his hand on his head, he looked at his daughter he had sent away and made a decision. Firmly he said
"Aqua discuss with the prince if u can have an audience with Theodore, Coral then after getting permission, go check the cctv. Luka, return to Wales at once, we have some history to rewrite!"
He said making the atmosphere fiery. He glared at the ministers, he could no longer tolerate this. He couldn't let Wales suffer due to his incompetence. The council ended. Aqua was lost In thought that she didn't hear her brother calling her.
"You alright ice cube?"
He asked hiding his concern behind a smirk. Aqua sighed,
"I don't like him going to such extents for my sake"
she said gently.
"Its for the empire, not only for you, those old folk have been exploiting his kindness too much, it was bound to happen"
Coral explained. Aqua brushed it off and bid them farewell. She changed in to a black skirt and white shirt with a gray jacket and her usual black boots and the familiar mask. She hoped on to the terrace and contacted the prince. He didn't respond. So she contacted the crown prince who agreed to meet her. She set the location as the TV station terrace. The boy appeared, she curtsied to him and said that there was an important matter they had to talk about. On hearing that, he asked her to let the princess know to come officially to the palace for such an 'important' matter, in a mocking way.
For a moment Aqua wondered what she had done to these brothers for them to get such an exaggerated negative impression of her royal identity. She simply left the scene.
