Ian could understand Kelsey's hatred toward the God Realm, yet he could not stop himself from feeling grateful for his own existence. If Kelsey had never existed, he might not even have been born—let alone gained consciousness. He would have remained forever trapped within an empty vessel.
"Then why do you want to take Emy as your disciple? She's a demon," Kelsey said, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere by changing the subject.
"By chance, I once met the heir to the Demon God's throne. He was a genius who could travel between realms beyond the plane with ease. But at that time, he was still too young and had no protectors, so he wandered arrogantly. The God Realm saw him as a threat and killed him before he could break through and become a Demon God. That was when I met him, and he asked me for help."
