Verena was alone in her room now, sobbing into her pillows. It was already nighttime but she didn't have the strength to check the wall clock to see what exact time it was.
Samantha had left after their little quarrel. If only her little sister would understand her fears.
She was still very young, and the moment they left their home and their parents found out, it would be hell. Everyone would be out to get them. Their cards will be blocked which will leave them with little to no money to survive.
Their parents might even put a bounty on their heads to get them found faster. They haven't started being strict with Samantha yet, and the last thing they wanted was for them to start treating her the way they did to her.
Verena wished Samantha understood where she was coming from before she left the room in rage.
